You would think if LE makes the arrest and are not there to see or hear the agreed transaction it's got to be a under cover female officer. However in the past when they list the names of the arrested they were usually the customer and the known SW. So I'm guessing they spot the provider get in the vehicle then LE makes their move at some point. There were a lot of these types of LE pops when Angier Ave was active. The cops just need probable cause and to establish probable cause, police officers must be able to point to objective circumstances leading them to believe that a suspect committed a crime. An informant is not someone who can just randomly give info to save them. A informant works under the guidelines of the agency and usually works for a payment (kinda like an employee) of the agency. They usually usually write a written statement that is read in court or the bigger cases they will go into court to testify.

You are correct because the police can lie to get you to admit a crime. "Admit a crime" is the key. Without you admitting a crime there is no cause to arrest. Yes they can arrest you for a number of charges but they still have to prove it.

Been reading what's said here and both points are true.
There's 2 parts, to quote Billy The Kid, there's "Law Way" (legal no bull shit charge or set up).
You can go into a motel with a hooker right in front of LE or you can pick up a SW right there on the street right in front of LE with no problem. I wouldn't suggest doing it but! It is not illegal to walk into a building with someone or pickup someone on a street corner.
The 2nd part is where you can get "Fucked by LE".
1. Bad Cop's try to set you up (their word against yours which is a grey area in court) try to plant drugs in the situation (get a good lawyer).
2. They catch you fucking in the motel but did NOT catch the transaction of cash and still arrest you (get a lawyer) its not illegal for 2 adults to fuck in a Motel
3. Catch you doin it out in public, charge indecent exposure.
4. Catch you & her with drugs or drug paraphernalia (this is very likely to happen with SW) doesn't mattered it's hers you are both together.
To sum it up a half way decent lawyer can get you out of trouble because you have to be caught breaking the law say it again CAUGHT. Now a cop not playing by the rules that's a total different fight.
You are more likely to get into trouble with a wife or girlfriend finding a strange looking pipe, hair beret or ear ring in between the car seat. Honey who does this belong too? I once found a empty condom pack in one of our company cars, WTF kind of lunch breaks are these people taking? Know the laws and always check your pockets and car before going home.

IIRC if you're on probation you still have rights but your probation officer has the obligation to check that you are satisfying the conditions of your probation (or parole if you're in that group). In order to do this, they have to be able to check on you and don't need a warrant to do it. Again NAL but IIRC you can deny the cops the right to search in which case they would need a warrant or to have your probation officer present. Most cops ask if you're on probation because if you refuse the search they can call your PO. It's worth nothing that as with people who aren't on probation the cops will violate your rights and anything they find becomes fruit of the poisonous tree, caveat being that you have to win one or more motions to have the evidence excluded.

Number 3 is correct. That said, arresting Johns is rarely a big enough deal to offer a street hooker or internet escort a deal that requires getting Johns. Most stings are to stop traffic in neighborhoods and hotels or to help with anti-trafficking efforts.
