The best legitimate massage in the USA would IMHO have to be Chinese, especially if value for money is considered. New York City Chinatown has lots of good Qi Gong Tuina massage parlors starting at $40 an hour that are certainly in competition for the best. But on a Hawaiian vacation recently I found a place in Honolulu's Chinatown at $50 an hour that IMHO is the best legitimate massage parlor in the USA. A building on the corner of Smith Street and South Hotel Street in the center of Chinatown displayed a large sign for massage. I have the business card in front of me which reads "Samy's Service Professional Massage Services Licensed Massage Therapy 1050 Smith Street Honolulu, HI 96817." There was a lot more written on the outside of the building, not all of which I remember. There were the foot reflexology and full body diagrams. It was explained that the services might be compensable by insurance. Hours were given as starting at 8AM. I forget when it closed.
One was supposed to call first and make an appointment. But I had no cell phone, no hotel (I had come in by cruiseship), no change for a pay phone, and only a few hours time. So I decided to try for a walk in. At 9 AM I found a somewhat sleepy looking 40ish oriental woman. Although her English was not good she seemed bright, well groomed, and attractive enough to give her access to my flesh. I was to come back in 20 minutes. I don't know if this is a one woman operation or, if not, how many masseuses are employed.
I came back and used the bathroom before starting. It had a shower in it. Here like most Chinese massage parlors there was no shower or table shower as part of the normal massage. But perhaps you might be allowed to use the bathroom shower if you asked. The first floor massage room was quite nicely decorated in an oriental fashion. A built in bench ran along the outside walls and music was being played.

I doubt any extras are available here. There were no hints of any. It is in the same block as a police station. Chinatown seems to be in a "cleaned up" zone although my guidebook says "Chinatown's Hotel Street is a cruising ground for both male and female prostitutes" and a "few clubs in this area offer strippers."

Haven't been there recently, but last year I was there six times. It looked fairly nice inside, and had a good table shower room. A bunch of Thai places have sprung up recently and I'd say it is Siam Thai Massage. The licensee for that establishment has a Thai name. Suite 3904 in Century Center.
At Siam Thai, the names are Nina (boss) and Tip for the Thai therapists. The former Patty at IM and Tasha (China Mary) also work there.

Well when I first walked in, She said "you do know how much I charge right?" And I said yes. So I aked her if she wants the total amount now or just the 50 for now? Then she said she'll take the 100.
