Sexual Addiction Reports

I've come to the conclusion I'm a lukewarm sex addict. I say lukewarm because a) I don't put that much energy into getting girls and be) I'm not so starved for sex that I'll bang a fat chick. That being said. I've been using CompuServe, AOL, Yahoo, Eworld (apple's old service) , . You name it. To find and meet girls who want to have sex.

I've driven as far as 500 miles for a sweet little thing that chatted me up to bang. Back in the days of AOL software (you know the disks you got in the mail) I'd even install it on library or med school library computers. Chat for a few hours to search. Then unintstall. And do that for weeks at a time. I remember sneaking to get up in the middle of the night for the GREAT Yahoo chat rooms that used to be filled with girls you could cyber for a week, then bang.

I have rationalizations of course. The moment we got married the sex ended. We're in our 12th year of marriage and she only just NOW wants to start having sex. So we can have a baby. Problem is she's overweight (not a lot but enough) to where she doesn't do it for me. She's my best friend, but I don't see her in a sexual perspective at all. I tried everything over the years. Romance, doing the bills, doing the housework, surprises, making more money. And all we have is a beaver cleaver, sexually boring, but very deep frienship.

So I've turned to escorts. I've even found one I can trade services with and get laid for free. Sweet little hot piece of ass. I also have a hot piece of ass I can have sex with once a week, but she lives 2 hours away.

I'm sure I'm addicted. But I don't know if I want to stop.

I've been struggling for a while to figure out if I'm addicted to sex or just young and starved for action. I've not been with a huge number of providers, probably 8, although I often find it very hard to stop looking. I'm probably one of the youngest guys here on the boards. 25, and there have been many nights I've found myself browsing online sources looking for girls. It's been 3 in the morning and I have a final to study for the next morning but instead of studying I spend hours online looking for the "right girl" who I can afford and isn't going to turn out to be LE or some other scam. I'm on a full scholarship that I'd probably lose if caught which would make it impossible for me to complete my doctorate. Even then, I find myself coming back time and again to all the usual places (here, backpage, hx, etc.)

Like the poster before me, I have my rationalizations. I'd like some feedback from the community of to see if my rationalizations are a product of me trying to justify an addiction or if they're probably the cause of this "addiction". I'm a 25 year old dude who has only ever had 1 girlfriend. She and I have been together since we were 20 years old and had known each other for 2-3 years before we got together. I am the only guy she's even been with. Problem is, we don't have sex. I'm not talking "we don't have sex anymore". No. We don't have sex, ever. Never have. She isn't some religious nut but had a rough childhood and parents who always made her feel like sex was some horrible thing. Because of this upbringing (1) she is afraid they'll give her shit or somehow "find out" that she's having sex and (2) she doesn't ever want kids so is deadly afraid of having sex and getting pregnant. She is extremely risk averse and doesn't trust the pill or condoms which leaves me shit out of luck. On top of all this fear of sex she just has an overall weak sex drive. I haven't gotten a BJ in 3 years from her and calendar year 2010 I received 5 handjobs total. I try and initiate whenever I can but it's pretty hopeless and I've almost completely stopped trying because every time I do she says she doesn't want to feel pressured. Aside from sex, our relationship is pretty much what I'd want from someone who I could spend the rest of my life with.

Dude, I won't speak on the addition issue because I'm not qualified and have no opinion; but I will say this. Because I have an opinion, with her attitude about sex, if she ain't fuckin now, she ain't fuckin later!

If you are in a relationship with some chick who isn't fucking you, I don't think you're a sex addict. If you were a sex addict you would push her and push her until she either put out or left you. You just aren't getting any sex and therefore have to go looking.

So if you're an addict, best harness that drive, center your life around it in some logical way, or it is going to re-wire your life. Don't despair, one day old age or death is going to cure it. Then (in the case of the former) you will take up fishing or golf or buy a camper or a harley or play parcheezi, adopt a bunch of Haitian orphans or do one of those incomprehensible things that people around you do with their spare time, and you will be like, damn, all these years wasting my time on girls and blowing my money on hos when I could have been doing THIS!
