I know the feeling after seeing regulars who we can trust we seem to let our guards down for rip off's then when meeting a new one we are completely relaxed awaiting the good service.

Although this dose not seem like a LE routine or even a off duty cop. If it was the back up cruisers would have arrived quickly ( there usually only a block away) and you would have been put in it for questioning also she really didn't know before hand if you had extra cash with you or not. Maybe just some low life criminal taking what she could get.

Experience teaches, when meeting a new SW never have more than $40 on you the rest could be hidden somewhere in the vehicle if you plan on a big FS party and cell phones could be locked in the trunk.

Hobbyists seem to be easy targets for this type of criminal activity because they know you got some cash with you.

GT, You make your point very well. I stand corrected. Let's move on.

Absolutely. I will move on, but would like to add this as a general statement regards to many posts referring to LE. There has to be some insight into LE in general. MANY LE are from a military background, because hiring practices give preference to them. We all know what occurs with military personnel when stationed away from home and have a night on the local town/country. Eventually they are discharged, back home, and now working for LE. They will tend to have a fairly bias view on hobbyists, for the most part. Now this isn't inclusive to all LE, of course. LE has specific precincts and squads have specified zones. They are ALL KNOWING of what goes on around the ns loop and ss loops. That is their zone, they are there every day. Just because you may see a squad pull up behind you as the skeezer jumps in isn't a guaranteed ride to the pokey. LE discretion, as they think back to their military days. They know, believe that, they do. PeeWee mentioned hobbyists are targets because of cash.. yes completely, and also because of the reduced chance a hobbyist will call LE after getting jacked. Can't explain to the wifey why they were there, etc etc
