Man I had the worst experience at this place and everyone on the board is gushing about how great it is. I went there before it closed and couldn't even get an HJ. Can someone pm me who the right girl is there? I had some older hag and it was awful. Billy
Previously I left disappointed with Kelly's service. I was offered a house credit. At my next try, I felt jerked around regarding the time spent in their waiting area, and left politely. This, my third try happened on time. I met an attractive masseuse (kristy) who did a competent Swedish-type massage. No flip, no HJ. I left a $30 tip. The massage left me very relaxed, and I did not feel cheated. My sense is that she will get to know me better, and offer the hoped for service. Next time I will tip $40 in advance and explain what I want. If that doesn't work, then it is back to Lucky Footsie, or 15th st. PS the atmosphere at Ocean Spa is way better than the other two.
Visited Ocean spa recenty and got kristy. Got a great massage from her and also had a long conversation about HJ and FS. Trust me guys, she will only give you a massage and nothing else. I am usually pretty good at getting extras at MP since I speak their language. She gets pay $15/hour of massage plus any tip and she seems satisfied with that. Not sure about the other providers though.

Went to Lucky F a little while ago. It was when the cold weather started appearing again so it was a very quiet weekday night there. Buzzed up and was greeted by the mamasan. Told her I was looking for a massage and almost immediately I was greeted by a girl at the end of the sofa. She led my upstairs and I wasn't able to get a good look of the other girl(s). Her name is Ivy and she is from Malaysia. She looks to be about 5'5" with black hair. She was wearing t-shirt and sweatpants so I wasn't able to get a good look at her body. I thought her face was somewhat normal/plain looking, but I found her attractive nonetheless.
Initially, the massage started out a bit softer than how I usually like it so I asked her to massage more firmer. She told me that she recently had some sort of operation on her hand so she couldn't use that much force, but she tried her best. The back massage was great, especially for the lower back. There was good back walking along with some kneeding. During this time, she had a friendly demeanor and she was real easy to converse with. She even seem surprised when I was talking to her in Chinese since I told her I was an ABC. I even got a compliment about my language skills?
While still on my stomach, she sat behind me and proped my legs on top of hers. Then she began to massage my butt along down the crack and did a couple of reach throughs. I lifted myself to give her better access. This lasted for about 10 minutes and was great. Flip, some frontal massage, an average/poor handshake (probably due to the operation?), then some finishing up massage. Overall the massage was great, especially for the lower back and the butt. Forty for the house and forty for tip.

Question for you guys. Where have you been that you've had an attractive, young (20s-early 30s) masseuse? I've never had the luck of finding somebody I felt was attractive, which means to me a nice face and pretty thin, as well as being young. Tips are appreciated, thanks.

Stopped by here recently. I actually needed a haircut so it was a good excuse for me to scope out this place. I had a haircut from Elaine; for the price, it's a decent, no frills haircut. Luckily, I didn't end up looking like I was 5-0 or in the militarty. After the haircut, I asked for a massage; I requested Julay as Luke had recommended. As described in previous posts, she is Malay, early 40's, about 5'4" with short black hair and not luck of a looker except from what I saw she has a decent sized rack. If you like a hard, vigorous massage with some back walking, she gives a great massage. I usually like a firm massage and at times she can be a bit too strong on the massage. She gave me a pretty complete massage while I was lying on my stomach.
On the flip, she spent some time massaging my arms, shoulders, legs, foot and even some head massage. Unfortunately, there was no handshake; however I didn't mind because the massage was great. Note it was my first time here. After the massage as I was dressing, she asked me if they usually do that, pointing down there. Of course I said yes. I was surprised she asked me that because throughout the massage, I told her I've been to other places similiar to Fortuna, mentioning that I went to massage parlors in Midtown and Chinatown. She apologized and said since I was new, she wasn't sure; but she gave hints of good things to come. It's forty five for the hour and I tipped her ten.
I had my 3rd experience at Ocen Spa last night. Things were slow, and I was quickly offered "Lulu". She is an ok looking 22 year old who speaks decent English. I asked for a hard massage. What I got was a mediocre (at best) soft-medium massage with HJ and roaming. After the massage I got some phoney affection. After the $40 tip the level of 'affection' increased. I can't blame her for the hard sell. All in all, My favorites are Cindy, and Kimmie from Lucky Footsie as well as Moon from E15th st. They consistently give a good hard massage, work for the whole 60 min, with limited extras. They are not young nor hot, but do great work. For some reason LF gets busted alot (unlicensed masseuses). East 15th st doesnt have that problem, but is cramped, and not as clean (askfor Moon). Of the 3, Ocean spa has the nicest ambience, and younger masseuses, but the service there (in my experience) doesnt compare.

there are too many choices for AMP's as new ones crop up each day as some close. There is no future good will so save your money. treat them nice and be brutally blunt on what you want from them. most will comply and pay them a fair tip if they please you. if they don't service you, leave them a nominal or no tip depending on service. paying for next time is a losing game so save your money. generally, $20 tip is plenty in most situations unless they go above and beyond. for every guy, they are not pleasing, there are others who are getting much more by being assertive and demanding they get what they pay for as YMMV. hope this helps.

Those are good places you mentioned there, Gold, WGS, and NYHealth are nice places but can be a bit pricey. I've heard some good things about the two places on 26th & 27th along 8th ave. The place Groucho mentioned is a no frills, average ambience place in Union Square and don't expect any hotties there but the massages there are great.
I have gotten to know several of LF's masseuses personally, and have their cell numbers. I am told that Lucky Footsie is closed for good. I hope that this is not true. As a value hound, it was my favorite all around AMP. P.S. "Cindy " from LF is available at another spot, but only for massage. She gives a great massage and is worth it even without the extras. What do you guys prefer, FS or AMPs? My favorite FS provider raised her price, so I am thinking about going back to visiting AMPs until I find another good cheap FS provider. I havent been to an AMP since I was banned from 188 Bowery. While I would take the punani over a lame massage anyday, having your towel removed, getting teased down there and asked to turn over, even for just a HR is exciting as well.
