Speaking of Clayton County
Speaking of Clayton County, has anyone notice that it's now been more than 7 months since the busts? I suspect the sheriff isn't going to ever bring charges. He shut them down, the owners will be reluctant to open them again for fear of immediate shutdown (which already happened once), so he got what he wanted
So much for "due process."
Spas back in Jonesboro in 2009?
Read a couple of articles that suggest taxpayers in Clayton County are becoming a bit unhappy with the sheriff, whose antics (including a hefty settlement to deputies who were unjustly fired, and sued) are starting to cost taxpayers real money. Opponents are already lining up to oppose him next year, and sense is he could be in for the race of his life. Here's one article:

So that got me to thinking that if he loses next year, his successor may not share his same priorities, and in time, one spa quietly reopens. Then, if the coast is clear, a second opens. And so on. Maybe there's reason to hope.
