[/QUOTE]I'd never tell someone not to carry and like my dad always said "It's better to be tried by 12 than carried by 6". That said, the course for a cc permit in NC is not that rigorous so I always exercise caution. Even a 9 mm can penetrate a hotel wall if you miss and there are many people who are overestimate their ability to shoot as well as their understanding of the law. In addition, there are tons of guys who fall for the girls and carrying in combination with that is asking for trouble. I've actually had more than one provider tell me about older guys they see who carry a pistol to keep from getting robbed and have shown it to them. Again, if you feel the need to carry then by all means do it just be careful, have your own personal rules about when you will use it (notice I said use not pull) and please take a dynamic shooting course.

I know many of you seem upset and some of you angry and as cold as this is going to sound, DON'T. I saw Muneka on two occasions and she was sweet to me each time but there was something off about her. I remember the last time (it was a long time ago) she told me a relative had passed and left her a house I think heading towards Wilmington. I believe she also told me that she did not have a regular day job and pretty much worked when she wanted and saw who she wanted. The first time I saw her she was on capital at abvi and when I asked why she was in such a shit hole pretty much she told me that nobody bothered her there and too many girls were getting busted on capital. She was also one of the ones who was decent on the price, depending on the time of day and how pleasant you were in the conversation.

Back to the something off. For starters she had a guys name tattooed on her lower back (the guy she died with) and she had 3 kids presumably by him at 22. Also, neither of them were working and if he was in that hotel he knew what she was doing, given that she was actively posting. Yes mine and many others are the generations of boys, but also the generations of dumb women. Hell I'm sure there were no shortage of sugar daddies or would be sds from here who would have in exchange for regular hookups put her on her feet but she choose Dwayne. As a father I'm pretty comfortable saying that she chose Dwayne over her kids (as any man knows for the right woman we'll shovel poop 12 hours a day to put food on the table and provide a home). She was 22 and seems to have family in the area so she probably had options other than staying with him. I've know women with similar stories and usually their kids are with family but they are not because people will take the kids but won't deal with their bs.

Yes she was apparently pregnant, yes some of her relatives had called her a good person who fell on hard times but we all choose the lives we lead. None of us know at this point why those men were there or why they killed them. Back when I saw her she seemed selective about who to see when it got late and I think I got in the first time because of my phone demeanor (IMO I don't "sound white" but I hear it enough to wonder). It's possible the killers knew her or the boyfriend or one of them may have tricked with her earlier and then gone back when they thought she had more money. It's also possible there was a deeper connection.

No matter what the why is, I strongly encourage other guys on here to compartmentalize, take a break from the hobby or find someone to talk to. Harboring the wrong kinds of feelings about this kind of thing can lead to some bad consequences. Years ago I knew a guy who "loved" a SW and when she died he went to her funeral. Because he had trouble processing what happened he ended up wasting a lot of money on her family who pretty much used him and his guilt as a piggy bank. Another guy who knew her moved on but became very paternal with the sws he would see. He even asked one who said she wanted to clean up to move in with him since she didn't have anywhere to go. In the end he was robbed and got the clap for his efforts.

I'm sure I sound pretty callous but many of us who post here have far more to lose than a lot of women who post on BP. Times like this are dangerous for guys like us, not because of shooters, but because of the emotions that come with sex (it's harder for us than for them). Please use your best judgement out there and stay safe.

On a side note, I want to say thanks to the moderators for not letting us post full names in public. Some jag has some backpage posts with her real name saying RIP all but ensuring that when her kids grow up they'll know what she did.

We all do and some of us make better choices then others. Regardless of the lost of custody, regardless of living in hotels, regardless of a little partying, regardless of not holding a regular job there is NO reason for two people to get a) robbed or b) MURDERED execution style. That is cold and heartless and that is why I'm angry. I saw her three times so it hits home a little harder. Everyone's life has value regardless of how they choose to live including the suspects lives but they just forfited their rights and like cancer they need to be permanently removed from society.

Throw in a 100 K target for a funeral expenses and not only did it look unprofessional but greedy as well. I'm sure people were turned off while others are suspicious over the excution style murders. The news media were the first to post the GoFundMe link and maybe someone should have proof read it and helped guide the family. Where is Muneka's father? Where is the boyfriend's family? It appears that there is little support of any kind from within.

I visited the fundraiser site on Monday and then posted the link in post #300. The link has been shared 79 times on Facebook so hopefully the donations will flow.
