Hotels
Folks the Priceline etc reference was tongue in cheek. I found it odd, that a sting was uncovered, and moments later right in the same thread a brand new member asks "where the best hotels in the city for a hobbyist?"
Anyway, as stated before, and as a guy pointed out down in the tread, always have a cover story in your hip pocket when staying local to dream about whoever you want to dream about:
1) I just had a fight with my girlfriend / wife.
2) I decide it was cheaper to get a local hotel room than get a DUI.
3) My house is getting fumigated.
4) I don't belong to the Y, and it is frickin cold outside so I felt like relaxing in a swimming pool.
5) My plumbing / electric, furnace went out, and it is unbearable in my house right now.
6) I am meeting a colleague / friend that is doing an extended layover at the airport, we are going to dinner, and if I decide to drink at dinner, I like the idea that the shuttle will pick me up, and then take me back to my car in the morning.
7) I have a mistress, and while you might think I am being a hypocrite, I don't want to fuck her in my or her marriage bed, and why the hell is any of your business anyway-maybe you need to get laid.
8) My mattress has bed bugs. I had Service Pro come out and remove it and treat the house, I am going to the store tomorrow to buy a new bed.
9) I had bonus points that were going to expire, and decided to use them to take advantage of the Aquariam or Creation Museum package.
10) I am going to the Reds game, if it is a late inning game, I want to crash here instead of driving home in bumper to bumper traffic.
11) I am a chronic masturbater, and just got this awesome new porn movie, and whenever that happens, my wife complains the sheets get smelly and crusty.
12) I am a travel blogger and review hotels in the region as a secret shopper.
13) Look down at your feet officer, you are standing in the United States. This is not Korea, until that changes, or XXXXX declares martial law, go fuck your self if you don't have a warrant or probable cause for disturbing my privacy. What is your badge number, you nosey bastard? Eric Deters loves to make the lives miserable of power hungry cops that abuse police powers, and since I don't play the lottery, I could use a litigation windfall.
14) I have a bunch of Delta Reward points, I was thinking of going over and registering stand buy in the morning, and since this hotel has free park and ride shuttle service to CVG, I was seeing if I could get a free flight down to the Florida Keys, renting a car, and eating at my favorite restaurant in the world, The Islamorada Fishing company, and getting out of this frigid damn winter for a day or two.
15) I am gay. Is sodomy illegal in this state? I thought maybe I would ruin the sheets of this hotel, instead the ones in my home.
My tongue was firmly in my cheek here, but hopefully it got the creative juices flowing so you could come up with your own pocket responses-remember the weirder they are, the more likely some dumbass patrol cop is going to run, bot walk to avoid engaging you any any more awkward conversations.
This is called the art of paradoxical response.
Crazy Cub, if you are a new member that is legit, sorry for the humor at your expense, and welcome to the board. If you are a cop, stop wasting time here. There have been 17 home invasion robberies with 9 assaults and two deaths with in a five mile radius of I-275 and I-75, so how about you go and stop some crime that has actual victims!
How about Hotels. Com, Kayak. Com, and Priceline. Com.
If you just want to see what all of the options are, I found Roomkey. Com to be easy to use. I don't know if the rates are the lowest, but I like how it has all the different brands and it links straight to the companies.
Just my opinion.
And PhatDaty, you sir are the Man! I enjoy your posts immensely! Thank you and keep up the good work!

Remember that lying to a Police Officer is a crime, but telling them politely that since you didn't bring your rod and reel you have no interest in helping them with their fishing expedition but instead prefer to remain silent, is the best approach. Checking into a hotel, even a crappy one, isn't a crime and you don't need to help the cops make your life miserable.

Wm.
As a new member here, I am wondering just how big a danger is LEO if going to incall at a motel. And other than having these excuses ready, what precautions can you take. And yes, my car is nice, and might be an attraction. My place is a no no.

LEO and Incall
As a new member here, I am wondering just how big a danger is LEO if going to incall at a motel. And other than having these excuses ready, what precautions can you take. And yes, my car is nice, and might be an attraction. My place is a no no.
Here's my 2 cents:
1. If you pick up a streetwalker, or arrange to meet a girl somewhere, and then take her to a motel, the chance of LEO bothering you is near zero. They just don't have enough probable cause to pursue it. Even if they did knock and accuse you of taking a "known" prostitute to a hotel, just ask them "known by whom?" and deny till you die.
1a. When I'm mongering, my method is to get a room at a decent, but lower tier motel, like Red Roof Inn or Days Inn. I try to get a first floor room away from the front check in area. I park in front of the room and always turn on the TV for a little background noise. That way if someone complains about the noise, I can always claim it was a too loud TV show. When I'm done, I make a habit of peeking out the curtains before I open the door, just in case someone (cop, pimp, boyfriend, etc) is lurking outside.
2. If you arrange to meet someone you met on Backpage or similar sites, there is always the possibility that you could be walking into a LEO trap. And those stings seem to be occurring with greater frequency. Be very careful about this and recognize that if you show up after making an appointment, you'll probably get arrested.
Hope this helps.

Tonto
I only see well-reviewed independent girls and I never use BP. Or CL for that matter. Don't even have them bookmarked, in fact.
I almost called a CL girl who called herself Jamie. Total cutie. But I'm too paranoid.
Here's the pic I snagged:

It is a difficult time in my life, as those who have gone through this have known. But I sincerely appreciciate the many pm's of encouragement from the past. Again, thank you.

Very Good Security post. I hope people will take it to heart, but if I may add an item or two, may I do so:A Few Cents More!
If at all possible back into the parking space, so you can get out quickly and see you way out at a glance.
Plus, Always, Always put a chair or something under the Door Knob or in front of the Door if possible, so if you have to pee or wash up afterwards, she just can't walk over to the door and unlock & open it. The chair won't ever stop her but it will help slow the process down. That might be enough for you to hear the chair move and get on the situation.
I say this because I was at an SW's notel, back last Spring, and the chair under the door knob kept her boyfriend from entering the room. He came back too early. He had no real sense of time, and he had a key. I don't like surprises, and she did yell at him for not calling first. But he was Stupid and her Go-For.
So you have to take on your own Security, and think several moves ahead. Most of these SW's are taking extreme risk and are not thinking about your security much less their own. Those Drugs are a MF!
