When you live in a small town like Kennebunk in Maine, it would screw up your life big time. Not sure about the legality of publishing the names, but they just did it.

There was even one guy who was outted who had the same name as someone on the list, but it turned out it wasn't him. Poor guy had his life almost ruined too. He had to explain to everyone he knew that it wasn't him but another guy with the same name.
