I can think of two reasons why. First, not giving the address out in advance insures that some jerk isn't going to show up early when they aren't wanted or expected. Second, after the 2nd call the provider can pay attention to who pulls up to their place (if they have a view) or who's at the door and be better prepared if something weird is going on.
