Of course, they should have kept quiet. What could they be charged with if the cops didn't catch anyone in the act of breaking the law? Even if they had already been able to get a client to admit to receiving extra services, that doesn't imply that everyone who gets a massage there gets extras. Just say you got a straight massage and nothing else. Who's to say different? Just my. 02 worth.

Gentlemen,

Three things struck me about this incident:

1. OK, so they were running an unlicensed massage establishment in a building where a licensed masseuse also had her studio. WTF were the folks at Gemstone thinking? Did they really have that much blind faith in the lady upstairs to believe that she wouldn't look for a way to kill off the competition?

2. Interesting that the PD alleged that two of the fellows they questioned are registered sex offenders. Was this true, do you think? Methinks it ain't necessarily so. Perhaps they are making this up on the theory that it's useful to suggest that anyone who would go to a "happy" MP is by definition, a perv.

3. As for the quote about the "legitimate" therapist in the building: "One of the complaints against the establishment, according to police, came from a legitimate masseuse who runs a business from the top floor of the building. She said that Gemstone Massage, which is located in the basement, gets a lot more business than she does and only seems to take male customers." Now that she has eliminated the {allegedly} Happy place downstairs, does she truly believe that all of Gemstone's former customers will seek her out? That her own business will pick up? Note and a biz development hint to complainer: Answer is,"Not likely, dearie." And if you want to attract more male customers.... well, you know what you need to do!

Unless they have video proof they have nothing. It is your word against the girl, only if they speak english.

It could be that there were men going to the legit masseuse seeking extras. That would make me unhappy, if I were operating a legit place.

Anybody that opens up a rub & tug place in a residential neighborhood is asking for trouble.

I recall a similar place I visited off Porter Sq. Some years ago. Not Asian, but all-American. I remember thinking as I walked up to the house that I'm certain the neighbors saw male customers coming & going and the place wouldn't last long. Sure enough, it did not. Too bad, because I got one hell of a massage, along with a very happy ending.

I am thinking I would have gone with the "just got massage" comment and then asked if I was being charged with anything. If not, I would take my leave. I have to believe they stopped more customers, but the others probably had no priors on which the cops could squeeze the customers.

This case kinda stinks with respect to rights on several levels and I would hope the only charge they can stick is the unlicensed massage parlor.

The " body work " (they don't like it when we say massage) done by this provider was poor, not very polite but not rude, that came later when I asked what was the other girls name after she finished, no extras. Not even an accidental rub, not sensual in any way, she just squeezed a lot.

Some say that you can get just about anything here with the right girl, I guess I got the one that does not do any extras of any kind.

I've been to this place a couple of times, and I want to start out by saying that the massage and finish are very good. The most recent time I went I had a bit of a negative experience, and that's what I'm sharing.

I stopped in on a Tuesday evening at around 6:15. Lucky me, Amy was on duty and available. A voice in my head told me that I should go for a half hour, but for some reason I decided to ask for an hour massage. About 15 minutes in, my fears of being shorted were essentially realized when she ran to answer the phone, brought the phone back into the room and told the caller to come in at 7:00. So now I know, I'm getting 45 minutes. Then she puts the phone down right next to my head, where it drops to a busy signal for a while. She catches that, then it rings again (still sitting right next to my head). She took that call, and apparently the caller had trouble understanding her when she tried to give out the address so she actually put me on the phone to give the address. This was a first for me, and was about as awkward an experience as I have ever had in a massage parlor. Sorry "Peter", judging by your silence, I guess you were even more uncomfortable than I was (just know I was totally naked when we talked). Other than that I had a standard Amy experience.

Massage. Very good. She doesn't seek out knots or anything, but her normal massage routine is very good and hits all the right spots. You'll definitely leave relaxed and relieved.

Tease. Excellent. One of the best I've had lately.

Finish. Very good. She takes her time, and knows how to do things right.

My biggest gripe. After getting shorted 15 minutes, being interrupted with phone calls, and actually being put on the phone, was her attitude when she saw the tip. I gave her. 30 because the experience was overall very pleasant, despite my previously mentioned issues. She actually looked at the money, acted disappointed and said "Oh $30?" like she expected more.

Damage: House. 60, tip. 30. I'll repeat eventually because it's so convenient, but I'm taking a break from here for a while.

She's kept an emmaculate and luxurious apartment and has daily professional cleaning done to keep it spotless. She may be in her early 40's and is still quite fit and beautiful, always very well dressed. Her Lingerie selection is incredible. Her fees reflect her very upscale service in a very posh neighborhood and the one of one private attention, unrushed of course for each session. I can't remember a classier masseuse in all of my years of dabbling which is why I don't go anywhere else since I met her. Hiedi has her girlfriends fill in when she's away on vacation hence the various name, photos and numbers. Variety is spicy at Hiedis and her partners are every bit as sexy as she is. Go girl and don't let this tramp put you down. Whomever is bashing her is just jealous.

Perhaps all the attention paid to Bonan finally brought pressure political wise down on LE to do something. Perhaps their location so close to other businesses and being in a medical office building worked against them as well.

I hate to think it had anything to do with postings here. I also am suspicious that the cops were responding to a complaint (although I suppose the complaint could have been at the behest of a local competitor). I have my doubts about that. Police departments know about the massage places in their towns / cities and what goes on there. They usually leave them alone unless they get complaints or there is trouble there. I think the fact that no one was arrested means that they just want them to move on and out of Malden. I would look for them to re-open somewhere else in a month or two.

I became freinds with the american papason and he hinted to me that they were protected from LE in some way.

Well we all know what happened to that island. Maybe bonan had a similar arrangement and someone retired or transferred and the new person in authority was not interested in having a similar arrangement.

The Grand Central Station effect is what brought it down, IMHO. Far too many walk-ins 12 hours a day. 7 days a week. Way too much activity. As the place spiked in popularity, Jessica should have figured out a way to better manage it, perhaps moving to appointment-only, declining new customers or permitting 'extras'; only for gentlemen who were known to the ladies. When a place becomes so incredibly visible, problems are sure to follow. UTR does not guarantee protection but it certainly helps. All of this is easy for me to say, as running an AMP has not been among my many career "accomplishments," so how would I know, really?

Too bad, though. The ladies were sweethearts, no doubt.

Hi all!

I was in Boston recently, had read the previous reviews of the Thai place in Cambridge, and decided to stop by for a walk-in. Metered 2-hr parking was readily available nearby. I was very impressed with the place. Very neat and clean. The photos of the facility on the website are all real. I drew Pam, a young and very pretty gal, in great shape (fantastic arms!). She was really friendly and polite throughout, always smiling and taking great care of me. I felt really pampered. The bodywork was excellent, with a variety of Thai moves that really did a great job of stretching me out. No draping. Easy communication at the right moments with no need for negotiations (tip amount was on the honor system). Even after I was totally relaxed and happy (and thought we were done) , she came back with hot towels and put my body through a variety of sitting stretches that really felt great. $80 for the hour, and I left a $50 tip. I would definitely repeat, even if it was just for the bodywork alone.

Several previous reports have mentioned no roaming. I guess it depends on how you define that. Throughout much of the bodywork it was simply impractical to roam since she was mostly working from behind (besides being busy with some active bodywork moves). After the flip I did explore nice, respectful OTC roaming of outer and inner thighs, hips, arms. I did lightly and gently touch her upper body and she very slightly leaned away, but smiled and giggled. She did allow me to continue but I did not pursue anything beyond that as I sensed it would not be respectful.

There are so many different flavors of experiences in this hobby. This particular experience was very much on the "healthy and holistic" side that left me feeling pure and positive. It was like the girl next door offering to help me with my sore muscles. She was still the girl next door when I left (and yes, I left happy) , leaving my fantasy intact for my next visit. I've learned over the years to keep an open mind and go with the flow, leaving my expectations at the door. What I do look for is quality service, a friendly attitude, and some degree of connection during the experience. Pam provided all three. It's been several days and my body and spirit both still feel great.

By the way, I saw two other ladies in the main area, both were equally young, in shape, and very pretty.
