Same story as last night (see the article Bingo linked) but they out Desire and Fantasies. They also talk to Mayor Tavares and Public Safety Commissioner Steven Pare, reiterating the plan to introduce the 2 ordinances I mentioned earlier.
I guess Foxy either plays it close to the vest or has friends in the right places.

Their job is to create ratings. Thanks to the train wreck at Cheaters late last summer this "investigative report" was bound to happen. Hopefully the police will continue to largely ignore the issue...

The investigative report did violate the law by attempting to solicit sex in the club. Media outlets are not "deputized" by law enforcement, not can they act as a proxy for the cops. They can get away with this style of journalism because if the police complain or attempt to prosecute the media, the simple response is, "if the police were doing its job, this activity wouldn't happen in the clubs.
It's a cycle. The media will move on to another story since there isn't anything else to report. A follow up won't be newsworthy. In six months this will be history.
I was at the Caddy recently and had plenty of fun. If you're a regular, the girls are ok. If you're not a regular, the next few months could mean more work in getting to know the girls.
If they prohibit private booths, the only point for mongering in a club would be for OTC. Wonder if other clubs could open just outside of Providence. Let's hope it all blows over soon.

I was there last night and they took all the curtains down in the CR's and regular or not there will be no CR action anymore or at least for now. They fired a couple of the girls and I just talked to one that is going back to Cheater's and she told me I will have to go back to her residence for FS because nothing but LD's will be happening at Cheaters. These stupid fucking news idiots and politicians are cutting their own throats and don't even realize it. All these girls are going private now meeting customers at home or motels or worse yet walking the streets and the city gets no revenue from that at all, and the clubs business goes down the toilet. The cops will be going crazy trying to patrol prostitution in the streets that will be rampant and it will cost the city and the taxpayers a ton of money for nothing. They just don't get it, you just can't put a stop to the oldest game on earth. Men will always want it and women will always supply it no matter what happens. At least the girls were safe in the clubs. They had employment and 1099's and the clubs made money, paid more taxes, and employed a lot of girls that will now go underground. Leave it to the politicians once again to cost us more money and more unemployment wasting time and taxpayer money instead of getting rid of more dope dealers which raise the crime rate since their users steal and rob people to get money for their addiction. I have yet to hear of anyone robbing or stealing money to go get a girl at a club!! Stupid news reporters and stupid politicians have no idea where the real problems are and how to deal with them.

I agree with 95% of everything you wrote here. BUT. Do you really think the streets are going to become filled with Strippers looking to turn tricks?? Sure there maybe be a very small handful that will have to resort to this level but overall I doubt very much we will have an overabundance of Stripper / Walkers on our streets causing our dear LE to be working so much harder.
What I do think will and has happened is that the amount of OTC girls will now become more accessible to the general public and not only guys who frequent the clubs. The amount of advertising on BP and Craigs certainly will increase with all the new blood that are forced out of the clubs. Either way as you imply in your post...Sex for $$ will ALWAYS be available...regardless of what the laws are.
I personally rather do incall anyways for a more relaxed longer visit for same or less money...never really understood doing it within a club...other then being able to see, touch and get a feel for attitude of the girl why would anyone want to spend a rushed 15 minutes in a dirty cubicle with a girl I can see for an hour in the comfort of a real bed??

Honestly, if the club managers and owners had any brains at all, they'd have shut down all dodgey activities in the immediate aftermath of the Cheaters mess. They should have known that the media would latch onto this like a tick on a dog.

[/QUOTE]It seems like all the clubs were being careful / overly cautious, and Cheaters acted like prostitution was still legal. I was always blown away at how direct the cheaters ladies were, where everywhere else you had to at least chat the girl up for a bit..
