Saw this question posted in the charlotte forum to no answer so I'll pose it here as well. Its been almost a full month since the new law. Has anyone heard of any actual enforcement yet? Arrests? Watching the AMPs or hotels? Anything?

Goes into effect Dec 1. That means it'll take 90 days for funding to fully disperse. Then they have to do the training for officers. So another 90 days. Then a training curriculum for hotel staff. Which means 60 days to find a contractor. Then 90 days to unveil it.

I suspect by summer it'll explode.

They must keep training logs and display the trafficking hotline number for everyone to easily see.

This law is going to be so effective at killing the hobby. I've dipped out entirely because there is no circumstance where it is worth the risk to me personally... But I still see some of you out here just queuing up to be crash dummies.

They'll arrest / charge / fine / jail them too.

FYI, I was just talking with a guy I work with, another monger, who told me tge Holiday Inn in Cary by Buck Jones Road has girls available (Asian), between 12-4 AM to by-pass the new law citing the police won't come knocking during those times.

I've been out of the game since Dec but still peruse occasionally. Have you all noticed price hikes lately?

I thought the market would have changed, butaybe the industry isn't hurting as much as I expected.

I still think by Jul everything will shift. Demand will plummet, prices will plummet, then supply will plummet.

Thoughts?

The majority of mongers are moving the same way they always have. Even most on the board who know about the new law are still mongering, but being more careful. The only way I see this changing is if there are several large busts in a relatively short period of time.
