And apparently having to defend myself and my actions against unnecessary criticism and white knights.

I think everyone could benefit from two reminders.

1) You are just a wallet to these ladies. That isn't an indictment of you or them, it's just how business works. It's all well and good if you like and enjoy talking to them. I like and enjoy talking to my barber. But he sure as hell ain't cutting my hair for free nor will I be dropping him off at the airport or babysitting his kids any time soon. That's the nature of business.

2) As with any business, you generally get what you pay for. Expecting "special request" accommodation and above average experience from a QV seems naive to me.
