Most of the barrier creams (shielding lotions) are based on small amounts of the active ingredient Dimethicone, which bonds with the surface layer of dead skin, forming a water resistant barrier. In Austin, Texas we have a large population of raccoons and feral cats. In order for the feral cats to to maintain any modicum of survival, they must take on the habits of the wilder racoons much the same way Russia adapted to Mongolian savagery. Should you live in a place, such as Austin, stay up some night and observe how the coons and feral cats mingle around dumpsters and the street drainage sewers. From a historiography standpoint, I now had a vasectomy instead of reliance on "murder" to complement my return to this recent population control controversy.
