I'm going to begin this SB post by briefly praising escorts.

While some escorts are easier to contact and schedule with than others, almost all of the ladies on USAG and similar sites have a business-like attitude: They are realistic about what you want, and they specify the price you will need to pay in order to get it.

A handful of escorts have "disqualifiers" about whom they will and won't see. Discreet Desires recently featured a woman who would only see guys 45 and under. (She is no longer on the DD site, BTW.) But most escorts will see any hobbyist who is polite, hygienic, and shows no signs of mental instability.

Many sugar babies are different. A large number of SBs join Seeking Arrangements with the idea that they are going to meet George Clooney or Johnny Depp. Last winter I interacted (unsuccessfully) on Seeking Arrangements with a 19-year-old Miami University student who came from a wealthy family. (She used a close variant of her real name and I found her on Facebook.) It soon became obvious that she really didn't have any financial needs; she was on Seeking Arrangements in order to find a slightly older fantasy boyfriend: a 20-something millionaire who would whisk her away for weekends in Paris, or something like that.

Seeking Arrangements goes out of its way to market itself as a high-end *dating* site, even though most of the men on the site are, in fact, hobbyists. The result is that many sugar babies come on board with unrealistic expectations, and drop out after a few weeks.

Now, let me reiterate (see my previous posts): Seeking Arrangements is also a place where you can meet great UTR women, who are willing to part-time escort, but who don't want to leap into the USAG world with both feet. You can usually tell the serious UTR women from the fantasy boyfriend seekers by reading the profiles.

The problem, for some of you, will be that this does take time and effort. Over the span of a single 1-month Seeking Arrangements membership, I've gotten 6 or 7 solid UTR contacts, and I've also come up completely empty-handed.

I usually bounce back and forth between here and Seeking Arrangements. At present, I think the selection here is pretty good: lots of fit, younger women whose company can be had at reasonable prices. For me there is a tipping point, when the selection / price / quality combination in the escort world becomes undesirable, and at that point I go back to Seeking Arrangements.

In other words, I have found that the best strategy is to be *both* a sugar daddy and a hobbyist, depending on who is available and willing in each venue.

This story tells the tale of how bad things can go, if things end badly in your SB / SD relationship. If she doesn't have anything to lose, it's your ass.

WAUSAU A Kronenwetter police officer accused of soliciting a 19-year-old prostitute paid her about $6,000 over the course of their four-month relationship for rent, gas money and other expenses, according to court records.

JR, 41, who is married and has been a police officer in Kronenwetter since July 2006, is on administrative leave from the department and is the subject of an internal investigation, Kronenwetter Police Chief DJ said this week.

JR is accused of having sexual contact with the woman on six separate occasions, including one in January that took place inside the Kronenwetter Police Department, according to a Wausau Police Department report. The woman also rode with JR in his squad car on at least one official call, the report shows.

An investigation began April 8 when the woman approached a Wausau police officer and reported she had been exchanging sex for money with a Kronenwetter police officer, according to a news release. The woman, whose name was not released, told the officer she first exchanged sex for money with JR at a home in Green Bay after JR responded to an ad for adult escort services she placed on an Internet classified site.

The woman moved to Wausau and stopped advertising for escort services because "she was making enough money" from her arrangement with JR, according to the report.

The woman told police JR was aware she was on probation at the time the sexual encounters took place. Investigators confirmed and verified details of several transactions and accessed private messages JR exchanged with the woman on Facebook, police said.

JR admitted to Wausau detectives he gave the woman money, but called her "a friend. " JR was arrested April 10 and was released on a signature bond.

Wausau police requested assistance from the Department of Criminal Investigations but the request was denied because the expected charges in the case did not rise to a felony level, according to the report.

Charges were filed May 16 in Marathon County Circuit Court. JR, who is not in custody, faces three counts of soliciting a prostitute and one count of encouraging probation violations. Langlade County District Attorney RU has been assigned to prosecute the case to avoid any conflict of interest from local prosecutors acquainted with JR.

Court dates have not yet been set.

Knowing that any married cop that does this probably deserves whatever he gets just for being stupid enough not to foresee the career and marriage ramifications, I was wondering to myself how, from a strictly legal standpoint, they would be able to distinguish a true SD / SB arrangement from what happens in many relationships where one partner helps the other one out financially from time to time.

Personally, I think the best way is to find a girl who will give you the time you ask for in return for you paying certain bills. Like the rent, utilities, and keeping the apartment stocked with food. Her apartment. Keep the lease in her name, the utilities in her name. So you have a basic expense of maybe a grand or $1200 a month. After that it becomes a matter of reward for better performance. I'm like you, in the fact that I don't like fat chicks, girls who stay in nasty motels, or drug users. The problem with most girls you'll find on this site is that there lives are incredibly fucked up. They can't rent an apartment or buy a car because their credit is awful and they have no way to prove their income. They typically have criminal records and never plan on getting a real job.
