Since there are probably TONS of out of towners reading this board, let me add that the best places to stay for tourists and get decent cg action($200-$1000 range, not street girls) are Bellagio, Ballys, Aladdin, Barbary Coast, FLAMINGO, IP, Harrahs, and Mirage, & Ceasars Palace. The reason is that there is always something going on at one of these places, or on the streets. All are right next to each other, and it takes 10 minutes to walk from one end to the other. Flamingo is highlighted because there are always ho's there and usually can be bargained to the low end of the scale. Bellagio is #1 in terms of both numbers and quality, but usually very pricey. This past Saturday night I saw over 20 cg's at Bellagio at about 3am. At least 5 of those rated 8 or 9 and all the rest rated 7's.
I used to stay at the Extended Stay on Valley View (Across from the Rio/Gold Coast) when I came to town. The prices went from $36 to $45 to $60 a night over my past 3 stays. It was worth it for $36 but not for $60. Recent reviews say that the front desk warned them about working girls working there, so it could be a place to stay if your looking for close action.
I'm looking for a new "extended stay" place and may check out the Town and Country places. I already booked my rooms for my next trip so I'm already good. I've also considered Emerald Suites in the past, but never pulled the trigger on trying it.
I don't get the reason why Holiday Inn Expresses are so darn expensive in this town. I could stay at a nice place for $125 a night.

I found a great site just the other day. Try www.jiwire.com. Its lists both pay and free wifi sites in any city you enter. Las Vegas has 10 free sites listed. I plan to use it to check craigslist when I am in Vegas next month.
www.jiwire.com
Thanks, Boatload. It looks like I'll be doing a tour of Krispy Kremes in the area. I may have to use this site for other cities as well.
Now if only these WiFi spots were frequented by working gals... I guess that's asking too much.
Thanks again,

Quoted from Las Vegas Casino Death Watch: "The Las Vegas Business Press reports that Tamares will demolish three downtown properties! Now that we've hyped this, we'll mention that they're talking about the Hotel Nevada, Queen of Hearts, and the Ambassador East, so nobody with all their original teeth will be affected. Get this, the article mentions that removing these buildings is expected to increase the value of the land for resale. Gotta like that. The article also mentions that rumors that the Gold Spike and Western will be demolished have been denied. The Death Watch speculates that Tamares trusts that those buildings will fall over without mechanical assistance."

Wastrel, I'm with you on the name change. I loved the "uniqueness" (whackyness?) of the previous thread heading. The headings should reflect the city or region and you captured the Vegas essence with that one.
The Honorable Norman and myself spent a lovely sunday strolling in the sun , sipping cocktails and exchanging pleasantries with some of the natives.
After a lovely breakfast including bloody mays and L.I. iced teas, we proceeded to the Stern to exchange pleasantries with the mixologists. We then strolled to the Gold Spike and made the acquaintance of lovely Dee who offered haircuts and other personal services at reduced rates. We enjoyed $1 tecates and complimentary fresh limes. Also present was a sweet young woman named Tazz , a former habitue of the long lost UKE lounge.
After raising many bumpers and toasts, and obtaining appropriate communications codes, We then drove down Boulder Highway and saw many a target rich environment. We were parched from the long Recon so stopped at the Stadium saloon for more refreshments. At this point things were getting fuzzy but the good Norman maintained admirable sobriety as we returned to LV and visited the home of the Sons of Temperance aka the Huntridge. The liquor flowed like buttermilk and alas that was my last memory.
The point of this is that despite the shit like beauty bar, bunkhouse and the sissy joints on third street , the Old Vegas is still doable, is not dangerous (if you got your concealed weapon) and still a lot of fun. If the downtown is TOO dangerous, fools deserve to spend as much as the ****** can get from them on the strip. Dont worry mom is safe on Fleamont and charges less than her cocaine head daughters.
This one reads like something from a Tarantino movie:

A man, living with a working prostitute is killed for $3,500 by the crazy boyfriend of her prostitute friend.
Includes a charge of "attempted sexual assault with use of a deadly weapon", the weapon being the handle of a hair brush.
You may or may not recall, as you were on your 4th Long Island iced tea when you switched to Tecate at the Spike, that I made an appointment with Dee for a "haircut" on Monday. This was a judicious decision as I was already two thirds in the bag. She was to call at 1 pm to make the meeting arrangements. Suprise, suprise. No call. Just as well because I was not in tip top condition on Monday.
Tuesday afternoon I decided to hunt her down like a dog in heat. 4pm the Spike was filled like a horn of plenty. Remember, it's the end of the month. The line up was too long to mention and I was a hero handing out dollar Tecates to all my old aquaintances. Dee quickly found me and appologized profusely for not calling. She told me Tazz was missing in action. Seems she was advanced $$ for some type of commodity transaction and has not since been seen. Word is she has a price on her head.
I told Dee I had a Jackson for her but admonished her of my high expectations. If she performed well and swallowed every drop, I might become a regular customer. At the very least, I would greet her with a dollar Tecate every time I saw her. She reassured me she was a pro by relating a story of her first "date". Outside the front gate of Camp Pendelton at the ripe age of 13, a john picked her up in his brand new Lincoln Mark IV. When he came, she gagged and puked all over his new interior. He not only refused to pay but also made her clean it up. She thereafter quickly learned how to swallow.
Dee has quite a history moving to Las Vegas at the age of 18. When not working the casinos, she hung at the Plush Horse. Locals will understand this dates her to the days before they refined coke into crack. During our pre felacial cocktail hour, she also introduced me to the GM. She used to date him when he was a casino manager on the strip. Seems like he has also fallen on hard times.
We did the deed in a secure, undisclosed location. Dee performed well above expectations. I am often disappointed with many of my first encounters. Dee was very careful to please. She asked if I liked it fast or slow, hard or soft. I opted for a soft and slow start, working up to a hard and fast crescendo, finishing with a long slow swallowing action. She performed as instructed. I will repeat.
For any of you visitors who want a taste of the old Las Vegas, replete with has been hookers, don't be afraid to try Downtown. The best are the "Spike", where I met Dee, and the "Stern", where I dropped her off.
As this is the "Off Topic" thread, I must add something relavant. I was detoured on my way to the "Stern" yesterday afternoon as there was a stiff on the corner of 11th and Ogden. Lieutenant Monahan and his boys had the area cordoned off.
Norman:
How could you come home refreshed from the paradise of South America and find yourself capable of being aroused by anything downtown Las Vegas? Please don't get me wrong, no offense implied here whatsoever -- your reports are always fantastic and a true classic, a real veteran -- but it would take me AT LEAST six months for me to get desperate enough to resort to downtown Las Vegas after draining yourself fucking a hundred exotic beauties on a trip to Brazil (averaging three a day - $30 a pop). I've dropped by the 'Stern' and the Spike on a few occasions, and as desperate as I am these days still find nothing worthwhile. Are there even any providers under 40 that actually brushed her teeth in the morning, ever? What time of day is the best to go?
My parents were married during the depression. I was born after World War II. My father retrieved my first bycicle from the city dump and painstakingly supervised its rehab into a brand new Schwinn knockout. My first car was a junk yard VW two year garage project under my father's tutledge. I was raised to appreciate and make do with what was available. The ability to adjust to and CONTROL one's enviornment is what seperates man from beast.
Unlike my peers, I never got caught up in material excesses. Although easily affordable, what I wear, drive, or fuck does not have to be top of the line, just functional. (A port in any storm?) A $15 golf shirt from Walmart serves the same purpose as a $150 pollo shirt from Ralph Loren. A $20 BBBJCIM from a Fleamont crack ho actually feels better than a $300 covered BJ from a Bellagio Barbie Doll. The former actually try to please and often really enjoy their work. My last one even complimented me how pretty my dick was! Just lay back, close your eyes, and imagine this is a hot 18 year old off the beach in Rio.
You are right about the hundreds of thousands of eager beautiful providers in South America. You have a very wide selection of price and quality. Top of the line 18 to 20 year old beauties go for $50 an hour with the price dropping converesly to age until you hit the $10 an hour 40 year olds. After many years of applied clinical research, I have concluded that the highest priced do not deliver the best service. Just the opposit. The lowest priced always provide the best service. It has to do with attitude. The beauties think their shit doesn't stink. The beasts are grateful to be fucked. In that enviornment, I have found my comfort zone to be the 20 to 30 year olds in the 6 to 7 looks and $20 to $30 price ranges.
You are right about draining oneself also. I experienced this problem a year ago when I went on a four month binge. I was determined to try a new house and fuck a new girl every day (120 days). My pace for my age was unsustainable. After only two weeks I had to reduce my goal to a new one every other day. Still, when I returned home four months later, I was completely fucked out. This was a psycolgical delima much like the kid in the candy store syndrome. It took a month to recover. It didn't matter how attractive, I simply had no desire.
Sperm Management is the answer. I changed my pace to three times a week; Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and zeroed in on my favorite houses and favorite girls. Monday and Friday were regular days and Wednesday was Adventure Day when I would seek out something dangerous and exciting. This pace gave my testosterone levels sufficient time to recover and Adventure Day psycologically gave me something to look forward to. Thanks to the successful application of Sperm Management, I came home refreshed looking forward to my Adventure Days on Fleamont Street and the B/H.
I practice a similar Sperm Management program in Las Vegas. One day a week I have a non pro girlfriend, one day a week I have a regular private p4p (the best in the city but not available for public consumption), leaving me lots of Adventure Days to find and consort with Fleamont Crack Girls and Boulder Speed Queens. And lest we not forget a few serious drinking days.
My dear Vanderley, whilst you are still young, dumb, and full of cum, Sperm Management is what you have to look forward to. Baring none, the last days of the month are the most fruitfull. I'd be happy to meet you at the Spike for a dollar Tecate and an indepth introduction to sleaze mongering at its finest. Just close your eyes and imagine we're at a bar on Ipanima.
Excellent post! Not only do we share many aspects of the Timeline of Life, we share a basic philosophy on "getting it done".
I have printed out your post and have inserted it as "Part 10: Man's Basic Pursuits" in my copy of Nietzsche's "Beyond Good And Evil".
That was a helluva report. I agree, and I share the same sentiments, being the hourly wage putz that I am. I'd like to think I'd retain that philosophy you so eloquently espoused even were I to win the lotto.
That post elevates you to Wastrel status, to me.
Norman,
Great post as always. It echos my philosophy of "there's no such thing as a bad blow job", only much more eloquantly. Keep the sleaze wisdom comin'!
I guess I need to add to that philosophy "there is such a thing as too many blow jobs!" Sadly, I never realized this until now. That would have been a good one to learn on my own... oh well!
Welcome back from South America!

To make C.32 homesick (look at the 'Dust and cry yourself to sleep pal) here are some photos of Old Vegas stuff: http://www.whenthemobranvegas.com/slideshow.html
And this is eccentric, maybe even downright weird to make a website about it, but I like it, and I'm allowed to do this about every 100 posts or so (says so in the fine print of the forum rules): http://www.dieiscast.com/gallerycarpet.html
That slide show really brought back memories. To coin a C32 phrase: "I remember when" you could park right in front of the casino entrance at the D.I., Sands, Slipper, Dunes, or Riv and get a $20 blow job. Now I have to park across the steet from the Stern for the same service. Those were the days when valet parking was only for the high rollers who could afford not to walk twenty feet.
By the way, I haven't been able to post for the last few days as all those kudos brought tears to my eyes which shorted out my keyboard. Thanks guys! It's great to be back in the saddle again.
A great slide show! I want some of those cars.

I so agree with Normy. Thank You for the old Vegas pictures from the late 1950s to maybe the mid 1980's. To see the Sahara, Landmark, Palace, Dunes and other fine establishments makes me yearn to go find Tony the ant and bury him alive after a good beating.
The first chick by the station wagon is still working at 5th and San Francisco when she escapes the rest home.
Perhaps We should form a Las Vegas Historical Society and work at getting get plaques and statues made for Bugsy, Mo Dalitz, Tony, Lefty and other Vegas founding fathers. A yearly mob dinner with tuxedos , molls and icepicks as well as .38s with stock wrapped in black electricians tape.

For those of you who wanted a bit of a diversion/warmup, I've been to the Red Rooster swing club a couple times.
It's way down off Trop, info at vegasredrooster. Single guys are always allowed.
First time there, I wond up nailing this really BBW in front of a crowd of admiring onlookers. I think the later was more fun that the former. That was on a Fri or Sat night
I had a stop for a Tuesday night there once and the place was pretty dead. Couple of way ugs and one chunky chick who was a swing and a miss for me.
Anyway, just a bit of offtopic fun.

Hey guys, this is definitely off-topic, but I was hoping someone could make a suggestion for me. A club I belong to is planning on a get together in Vegas next month. It is a very informal gathering -- not like a convention or anything. Members are making their own reservations, mostly around the Hilton, Sahara, Stratosphere area, but some as far away as Fremont Street.
I was hoping that someone might have a suggestion for a good place to meet up the first night (a Friday between maybe 8 and midnight). Since we are all arriving at different times, we were just hoping for a club or restaurant where we could reserve a room and people could arrive as they got into town or were ready. The place should have food and drinks, and the music shouldn't be overpowering. It doesn't have to be a private room, but we'd rather not have to pull together 5 tables with barstools.
There will be 15-20 of us, and we can pay for the room if needed but would prefer someplace that can comp it in exchange for the drinks and food. Any suggestions or leads?
I'll definitely be taking advantage of my time there to do some mongering, and will be happy to report when I get back.

Funny you should mention the STRATOSPHERE = they have some of the best meeting facilities in town =

KC , you corrected one of my reports a couple months , and thanks, sometimes when wife is coming i type fast and it gets messed up, but yea the strat would put u in some heavy street walking areas, also the cheap stroll motels are thre too, good luck,
Haha, C-Boy I remember that one!
Thanks for the tip PsyberZombie (and Carolina). I have called most of the hotels in the area and asked and they basically all want me to rent a meeting room or a hospitality suite. Then I'd need to buy food and drink from their catering department, in advance.
I was really hoping for more of a club, bar, or restaurant that had an area set up for parties. It wouldn't even need to be a private room, as long as they had space for 15-20 people without us having to pull tables together -- and the other patrons wouldn't mind us getting a bit loud. We probably won't be eating all that much, since many of us will have had dinner already. But our alcohol bill will be huge.
Anyway, I appreciate the feedback. if anyone has any tips or thoughts please PM me or post here. And of course if you are ever in the Kansas-Missouri area please feel free to ask me anything.
Many of the higher end lounges are not too crowded in the 8pm to 10pm time range. But you will spend through the nose on alcohol.
Casbar Lounge at Sahara is pretty quiet at this time. It is recommended on Lasvegasadvisor.com as a "top deal" since you can go see lounge acts for no cost. If lots of your group is in that area, that may be something to consider.....you wont have one single table, but its more of a bar type environment.
I can't think of anyplace in Strat that fits your requirements except the top of the world lounge, but again you will pay through the nose.
Another option is the brewpub at Main Street Station. That is downtown. You will have to push tables together, but I don't see it being a problem. Also, pints of beer are $1 after midnight.
Another place downtown that will work...but horrible environment...no girls or anything...is the mini sports bar at Vegas Club. If you just want to get together and drink...no one will bother you. I don't know what time they close, but its after 10pm.
Another downtown place is Henneseys Tavern. It just opened. I do not know how crowded it is on weekends. Depending on your age, Jillians across the street may work as well(similiar to Dave and Busters sort of).
Also consider Hofbrahaus http://www.hofbrauhauslasvegas.com/
No one will care how loud you are. Beers are like $10 but are good and very large. If anyone can drink more than three I'd be surprised. It might be very crowded though.
Finally, just bar hop downtown.
Fremont Street is closed off. Beer is real cheap(plastic 55oz footballs of beer for $5) at the stands...hit the historic bar at binions and golden gate, the main st brew pub, and just stroll around downtown. Play a little low limit($5) craps and BJ at Golden Gate.

You might think about any of the "Big Dog Breweries" if you don't mind not having the show or girls. I'm sure they wouldn't charge for the room, drinks arn't expensive, the beer in excellent as well the food. You won't spend a fortune then go out after everyone arrives if you want a show.

Authorities believe they have captured the man who strangled a 22-year-old woman earlier this month and dumped her naked body in a hallway on the 25th floor of the Mandalay Bay hotel.

I see on the L.A. news here in New Mexico (?) that the Boardwalk hit the ground today.
They said that it was the 12th one and 10 more were in the books for the future.
10 more... It's all going away... just like it was a dream.
I guess soon the town will be nothing but celebrity wanna bees and their heros schmoozin the "To die for" scene hoping everyone sees them.
Oh well... it used to be such a nice quaint little town.
I've been spending so much time gathering data on mongering for the up-coming trip that I forgot to get some intel on nightclub spots.
I've heard that its hard for two normal guys to get into a lot of Vegas clubs. I've seen them passing out those VIP card things to groups of girls around the Bally / Ceaser areas. Any good place to visit and have a good time without the hassle of fighting to get in?
I know the Boyd group is doing a major billion dollar project on the stardust property soon. I was suppose to have happened already but they pushed it off a little. I don't know when they've reschedule it, but it should be coming up soon.
it won't be long (few more years) before all the strip hotel rooms will be 200 + as the daily rate.

I heard on the news that in the next 5 years builders are going to be spending more money on the Strip than they've spent in the last 20. They claim the Strip will not even be recognizable as it is today in the year 2015. Or something like that. With all the new developments of highrise condos, Trump towers and new casinos planned in the horizon, it's really no surprise. I remember back in the day when Circus Circus was the newest hot spot in town. For some of you I'm sure it's the Flamingo.
Times are changing.

Jay Sarno's brain child. You paid $20 a year for the privilege of having a reserved section near the Pony Bar, line pass privilges, and other promotional discounts similar to today's slot club cards.
I was at the Flamingo opening too but security wouldn't let me in. Strictly black tie. Those were the days before J. C. Penney's (6th and Fremont) had a tux rental department.
Stardust is closing January 1st. New Frontier is on the demo list too. Will be a Swiss village theme with a big Ferris wheel like the one in London. Rufkin is stalling hoping to pick up a lot of the Stardust business while they rebuild.
And all I have is a picture of the clown in the parking lot with the Silverbird in the background.

A former porn star filed for governor...
<SNIP>
Melody Damayo, who performed under the name Mimi Miyagi in movies such as "Seoul Train," appeared at the Sawyer Building downtown about 4:30 p.m. in a hot-pink pillbox hat, hot-pink high-heeled sandals and a very low-cut hot-pink suit. She was accompanied by an entourage she called her Campaign Cuties as well as two dark-suited bodyguards.
Damayo, who called herself the "former Asian Love Goddess," filed to run for governor as a Republican, saying one of her priorities would be anti-stalking legislation. She added that she hoped to address youth and gang violence "so they don't do it anymore."
Damayo, 32, is a native of the Philippines. She said she originally thought to run for mayor but was encouraged to run for governor by her friends. She has lived in Henderson for 13 years, she said.
Damayo said she retired from the adult film industry in 2003 with the film "Happy Ending."
"I have nothing left to hide," she said. "My slogan is, 'I'm bare and honest at all times.'"
