When I went to Club Goodtimes in Columbia, PA, I payed for two VIP dances. it cost me 40.00.
I gave a 30.00 tip. Was that appropriate as this place?
Also, what is the norm to tip a stripper during a private dance? I am sure it differs per club.

If we're relaxed, we will tip much more.
Also, I've found that it's best to stick with dancers other than the youngest/hottest. While it's certainly fun to have a super-hottie grinding on you, I have found the older &/or average-looking dancers offer the best dances.
In addition, watch the girls dance on the stage before choosing one. See if they smile. If they smile and make eye contact, they'll likely give a good dance. If they look miserable, it will likely be a very uncomfortable experience for you. You'll be counting the minutes until it's over, even if she's hot.
Ask before you agree to dance whether the dancer gets a portion of the LP amount, or if the house gets most of it. There's nothing wrong with knowing the facts before you agree to a dance.

IMHO, the amount of the tip is commensurate with the quality of service, just like with any other service business. Of course, it's entirely up to you. My standard rule of thumb with CMTs is no less than $20, especially if you intend to return for more treatments.

Adult World in Harrisburg is great for variety and ease on the pocketbook (start at 5 but you can get a few songs for 20, a good deal), but the dances are done in open booths in the same area and there is no mutual touching (which I love). However, you can get a really nice grinding on your cock while still watching the stage performance. Suzy's Lounge is half a mile from my house (my 16 year old son kids about it every time we pass it)! Some of the dancers are really hot and some are really not. The lap dances are 20 per and in a curtained back area, but my experience is that it is more tease than grinding and no touching that I have ever experienced. Buck Rubs is 20 per dance and they have a VIP private room for 150 for half an hour. I sprang for the VIP to be with this one cutie and it was well worth it. I have been in many strip clubs in PA. I know everyone likes something different in a club, but I generally like a good variety of strippers (in terms of age, looks, dancing ability, and, of course, some excellent lap dancers). Oakford Inn (Neshaminy): This place is near the Neshaminy Mall. they recently did a complete makeover of the building and I noticed a new name (which I couldn't quite make out) since you can see it from route one going south. The only downside is that the strippers really rake you for regular tips. There are 2 small stage runways set in an el, encased in an el shaped bar, and there is a pole in each runway. there are usually 2 dancers, one on each runway, and they are so greedy that they make a tour ALL around the bar (even the part that couldn't see them) after about a 2 song set and then again after they finish at each location, and most of them expect a $2 tip each time. So you are in for $8 per 4 song set for EACH dancer and sometimes more, which starts to mount up in a hurry. I make it a practice of tipping $2 when they are at my stage and a buck when they aren't, regardless whether they pull out their g-string or show their tits for the extra buck. Enough is enough.
Beyond this major complaint, I still really like the club. You can get an ice cold bucket of 5 pony bottles for 6 bucks, with a choice of 3 brands and there are a wide variety of dancers to suit every taste (from really stacked to cute and slinky, from very young to brazenly mature).
I have always gotten fabulous lap dances here. The dances used to be $15 and now they are $20 for 3 minutes. The girl always grinds really well on you, there is always touching of her tits (in my experience), although her touching of you varies with the willingness each dancer. Sugar N Spice is in Morristown, just off Route One (Pennsylvania Avenue exit) before you cross the bridge to Jersey. This is a low key place, and a little worse for wear, but the crowd is friendly and mostly regulars. You can get a happy hour draft for $2.25.
The number of dancers varies depending upon the time of day. They open at noon but there are generally only 2 or 3 dancers on then until much later in the day (around 4 to 5) when additional shifts start showing up. They ultimately get around 7 or 8 at a time. There are two stages, each with a pole, inside a large rectangular bar. Normally there are 2 dancers in stage at a time. Regular tips are easy on the wallet since the dancers do one dance on stage and then collect tips around their area of the bar during a second song, and only expect a buck. So you are only shelling out a buck every other song to watch 2 dancers on stage, not bad.
The dancers range from very young to obviously mature and very pretty to so-so. But almost all (with a few exceptions), in my experience, give a terrific lap dance, which is $20 per song in a private, curtained back room with several couches. Most really grind on you and allow you to fondle their tits and nipples, sometimes even suck on them. There is a very long bar with 3 stages inside as well as a large tabled seating area. Most of the time 2 stages are in use, but in the evenings all 3 are occupied, as well as a stage near the tables.
The only negative thing about this place is the audacity and greed of the dancers looking for regular tips. I don't mind tipping a dancer I have seen on stage, perhaps not even $3 or $4 or even more if I have seen her dance on 3 or 4 stages. BUT, some of these dancers wander around and sidle up to you and expect to get tipped before you have even seen then on stage. Some are so brazen as to do that right before they get on stage and then expect you to tip them afterwards as well! I don't want to seem cheap but I am also not a sucker, and I politely tell them that i will most certainly tip them after I have seen them dance.
They have a kitchen and serve what I have found to be very tasty burgers and sandwiches, etc. I just make sure, before eating finger food, to wash my hands thoroughly or use sani wipes after handling all that filthy money (didn't you know that money is the dirtiest thing you can probably touch?, right up there with doorknobs and the keyboard on your computer...which has been validly tested to be dirtier than a toilet....so spray them regularly with Lysol).
One of the best features of Cheerleaders is lap dancing. They have a completely separate room for this with mini couches. Lap dances are 20 per song. There is a guy at a booth as you enter the room but you can get away with little things. It isn't too cool to be blatantly grabbing her tits but this can be done discreetly on one of the rear couches and no-holds-barred ass grabbing seems to be just fine. Erv's is a BYOB club, which means that they don't have a license to serve liquor and you have to bring your own. There is a $20 entrance fee. Depending upon how long you stay and how much you drink, I suppose it works about evenly compared to free clubs where they serve booze. But the huge benefit to a BYOB club is that is is private and the dancers can be nude.
There is one very long bar enclosing a stage with a pole at one end. The best seats, in my opinion, are at the pole end, since many of the dancers know how to use it and there is a lot more dancing action at that end of the stage. There is only one dancer at a time and the standard tip is $1 as she semi-privately dances on stage for each customer. If it is crowded in the day, you might pay a dollar tip for every other song, maybe even after every third song. But when it is crowded in the evening they typically will put 2 dancers on stage, as more are available.
The dancers here, in my opinion, are some of the finest looking I have seen in PA. Several Miss Nude Pensylvanias have been regular dancers at Erv's. That is not to say that every single dancer is a 10. There are exceptions. But pound for pound they are some of the finest women I have seen both for how they look in the buff and how they move on the stage. Every one of them gets completely nude and spreads wide for you in every conceivable seductive way.
The couch dance area is in the back. The usual fee of 30 is a bit more than the 20 at most other places, but the dancer is completely nude, most allow you to touch anywhere you want and she touches you, and there is a timer rather than a by-the-dance allowance. I am not certain what the timer is set to, but it seems a lot longer than the 3 minute usual song time for a lap dance. Most of the time my lap dance experiences have been outstanding and several of the dancers have been very hot play partners for a fee after hours.

I am rating CR Fanny's last, but certainly not least. This club is in Bethlehem on Butler Street. It has an el shaped bar around 2 stages. The main stage is very long and has 2 poles. Usually there is one dancer who migrates from stage to stage, but often they intersperse it with 2 and sometimes even 3 dancers, depending upon how crowded it is.
The dancers are generally way above average both in looks and dancing ability. They typically get tipped sometime in their 2 song dance set and then again when they are finished, so you are generally in for a about a buck a song.
Lap dancing is in a separate room to the side with a few comfortable chairs. Not all the dancers do lap dances (in fact, far more than almost any club with which I am aware) but the ones who do are generally very good. It is 20 per song, and even though they aren't technically supposed to be doing this, some of the girls will place their mouths on your cock through your pants, rub your cock with their hands and chest and allow you to fondle their tits and nipples.
