Prostitution sting leads to 104 arrests

Rented furnishings and hidden cameras were among the props Seattle police vice detectives used to arrest 104 men who showed up at a ritzy downtown condo in the past two weeks expecting to pay for sex.

Nearly three-fourths of the men who were arrested on suspicion of patronizing a prostitute responded to postings in the "erotic services" category on craigslist, the free online community where people can search for apartments, jobs, used cars, friends and dates. The rest answered escort ads found in the back pages of The Stranger and Seattle Weekly.

He ran at the victim and punched him with a closed fist, the police said. During the struggle, S****** took the man’s wallet. He also held a Swiss Army knife toward the man’s neck and threatened to stab him if he didn’t produce money, Maddocks said.

The Coventry man turned over $1,860 from his car, Maddocks said, and S****** and the prostitute left.

Over the next two days, Johnston Detectives Dominic Buccafurri and Raymond Pingitore worked 16-hour days on the case. They developed a description of the prostitute and passed it along to the Providence police, who identified her as an Olneyville woman.

On Thursday, she was spotted in the area of Amherst Street and the subsequent investigation led the police to S******.

He was quoted as saying, “Who ratted me out?” when he answered the door at ### A****** Ave. on Thursday afternoon, Maddocks said. S****** was holding his Swiss Army knife, he added. S****** was arraigned yesterday morning in District Court, Warwick, on a charge of first-degree strong arm robbery and assault with intent to commit a felony.

He is being without bail at the Adult Correctional Institutions. He is scheduled to appear Thursday in Superior Court, Providence.

The girl who set him up may have known about the extra money in the car -- hence the beating because the victim probably didn't want to hand it over.

Feb 20 isn't too early for a tax refund. I usually get a decent refund and always file early to get my money. I give the victim credit for reporting the robbery to the police and not just shutting up about it, and I wonder why the girl wasn't charged. These two have most certainly ran this scam before and I am glad they got caught.

There are so many different scenarios that could have led up to this but I think this one really fits.
The monger, at some point prior to reaching the notel, opened his mouth about the amount of money he was carrying. Plain and simple. She in turn somehow got the info to her pimp/bf/? and plans were made.

<edit> I was robbed at gun point on Broad St many years ago. It was then I legally got a concealed carry permit. Unless you have, or have ever had a similar experience, you have no idea of what you can/will do.

At that point in time I would have given that s.o.b. the freakin' car. Today, I'd blow the s.o.b away. :)

Actually I am interested in going fishing, really, fishing. I have the next weekend off and nothing to do, thought I would mix a party fishing boat trip from RI together with a night in a local notel for an outcall. Any suggestions?

Jackson was good enough to include a chat room function on the forum. Over the past 6-8 months, maybe a year, I've checked in periodically 2-3+ times a month and there's never anyone, but me, logged in.

I belong to a couple of other non-monger forums and twice a week I'm glued to my computer, especially Wednesday nights @ 9 pm.

It's enjoyable, you get to interact with several others in real time, not post today and maybe see a reply tomorrow. Posts and pm's do have their own purpose and a chat room just enhances the potential and enjoyment of the forum.
