I've been there a few times
I go there all the time and haven't had any problems whatsoever. It never ceases to amaze me that amount of paranoia that runs rampant on this forum. If you mind your own business, keep to yourself, and just go about your business, 99 times out of 100 nothing is going to happen to you. Unfortunately, most of the providers on both EB and STG stay at that hotel. And I will bet anyone on here dollars to donuts that shooting a few weeks ago on the stairwell was a drug deal gone bad. And the majority of my posts and reports and positive encounters with providers have happened at this very hotel or the other one next block over. Yes, it's a dump and occupied by pimps, crackheads, drug dealers, etc. But what the hell do you expect in this hobby? That would be like going to a butcher shop and complaining that they sell steak, chicken, chops, etc!. LOL.
Yeah I've been there a few times and I'll admit that it feels sketchy, but as long as you keep your head down and don't be rude to folks as you walk by them you'll be ok. I mean think about it, why would anybody there so stuff to make it a hotspot and get it shut down to where they can't make any money? They may be pimps and drug dealers there, but they have common sense.
Beware of those Verfication traps

I was on Skip the games and saw this ad. I noticed in the location that it didn't say Columbia or White Marsh it had.

So I decided to see where that took me. I got there and it was a chat room with EMily and she started typing right away. After a short conversation she wanted me to go to her private server to get verified. Now I am an old man and have been in semi retirement from the hobby for a while. But her verification wanted my credit card number, experation date and security code. I told her that I was not going to give that to that site (it looked like date check, not sure if it was). She then went to the hard sell. She and the site were not going to charge me anything, it was for her safety and to verify me. I declined nicely and told her to be safe and that I needed to be safe also. Was I right? Or is this what we do now?
Play Safe,
B. you.
Also sorry I have been posting since I moved here. I haven't had anything to add to the conversation.
Those things are nothing but bad news. Unfortunately, they look legitimate because they say they have endorsements from all of these major news and media sites, but it's a complete fraud. It's tough to notice but the credit card isn't even being transmitted securely. Those girls make you feel real bad until you finally realize they're not girls at all. They're fat fucks trolling horny old men to get the one time "verification" fee. If you happened to give it a shot, keep close tabs on your credit card charges. If they managed to capture your credit card number, they might try to use it elsewhere.
