Hey fellas, my usual stand-by MP up and moved to Belair Road south of Northern Parkway making it much more inconvenient to visit. Was wondering if anyone knew of any places in the Towson area? Looking for a place with an actual decent massage technique before the extras.

I've come to the conclusion that any monger who walks into an AMP and asks for a provider on the basis of some one's report here is an idiot. Having recently done that exact same thing (twice), I consider myself to be an expert on the subject. The fact is tastes differ, and what may be a hot GFE for you may well be a dog from hell for someone else. Otherwise we'd all look the same.
The bottom line: if the provider you draw (or ask for) doesn't appeal to you for whatever reason, ask for another. Most AMPs have lots of them and are anxious to please, since they desperately want your repeat business!

As a Monger who normally plays in DC with many AMP's I have found that one man's oyster is another man's crab. Since I am located between the two fine cities it is very interesting to see the difference. Many of the AMP's in DC have really beauties, albeit they can't speak a lick of english. I haven't gone as far as Bawlmer, but have partaken in some of the Rt 1 AMP's up past Jessup and they arent as pretty as DC, but are more versed and experienced which makes the trip note worthy.

Idiot may be too strong a word. What you're really saying is that you don't know us, your fellow mongers and senior members well enough.

Idiot may be a strong term. In all my encounters at AMPs there have only been one or two that were a complete turn off. My reviews are based on the total experience. Both heads have input to my reviews. I have special tastes just like every man on this board. I am sorry if someone did not have as good a time as I may have had. Unlike at home, the process of visiting an AMP involves two people. I know that I am perfect but my 1hr partner may not see me that way. She may have had a bad day. She may have just finished with a 350 lb bad breath sweaty client. YMMV but to throw out everything said on the board may be going a little too far. If you visited someplace based on my review and were not happy then maybe just ignore my reviews because we must not share the same tastes. One more thing, I am not sure how the name game goes but if it was your first time and maybe Lady X was busy they may have sent in a pitch hitter just to save the business and called her Lady X.......

I've had a few fabulous experiences by asking for a provider on the basis of some else's report. No regrets.
I've also had a few terrible experiences going back to the same provider with whom I'd previously had a fabulous experience. The provider that left me smiling all day today may not leave me smiling the next time. Maybe it's her, maybe it's me, or maybe it's just the weather. Who knows?
I've come to the conclusion that one is NOT an idiot for TRYING a provider based on their own OR another's experience. One is only an idiot if one assumes/expects/demands consistency as a matter of course. Nothing is predictable, except unpredictability.

I think his point was (and I could be wrong) that if we are making a decission to go and see a particular girl at a particular spa based PURELY and COMPLETELY on a review here, it would not be too smart. We set ourselves up for disappointment.
Since everyone's opinion of beauty is different, everyone's opinion of great service may not be the same, we are not always going to have the same experience.
My type may not be your type, what rocks my world may not even shake yours, etc.
So do NOT decide to spend money, or make a long drive based entirely on another person's review.
Use the reviews for the less subjective points like:
How was the location, parking, entrance etc
How was the greating/evaluation etc.
How was the place, clean, dirty, nice, smelly? etc.
Was it busy, was the a wait for service or shower etc
How was the girl's attitude, did she appreciate the customer?
How was her time management, did she balance the session properly
What options were available, what services did she perform or offer
Did you get the full time, were you rushed or shorted time.
These kinds of things are less subjective then beauty, age, and performance of extras, or evaluation of body types etc.
If you go based on someone's review that a beautiful 22yr old provider is at XYZ Spa, you will probably find yourself extremely disappointed to find she is really 35+, and just average looking.
If you expect nothing, you will never be disappointed but occassionally pleasently suprised.

My larger point was if you ask for (or draw) a provider and EITHER head tells you that something's not right, don't feel obligated to stick with her. It's your money, ask to see another one!

It's possible to have a good time at OS, but it ain't easy!
Many years ago a provider named Lilly worked out of there and she was pretty good, and more recently Jeannie has been amusing (pretty legs and feet, GREAT naturals!), but as a rule I take my laundry elsewhere.
