Ah, the day made for lovers. Romance and gifts. Declarations of undying love and devotion. Bullsh*t is what I say. I wonder how many of you poor men are going to be railroaded into spending money buying flowers, candy, cards, jewelry and taking your S. O. Out to dinner and such and STILL won't get LAID! I hope those of you who do participate get SOMETHING for all your efforts. However, I hear it from my friends that it just doesn't matter what they do anymore. The wives just don't put out. If your not going to get laid anyway, why bother buying the valentines crap? Get yourself a dream instead. Good luck to all of you who are FORCED to participate in this ridiculous made up holiday. I got lucky and have an amazing day planned with a friend who's S. O. Decided to go out of town. YEAH for me. All the perks of a relationship without the crap and I won't get looked at funny for eating alone on Valentines.
Happy VD. LOL
M
I couldn't disagree more. Valentine's Day is a holiday to show your "sweetheart" how much they mean to you. The majority of men I see have been married for quite a long time. Just because I provide them with what they are missing sexually, doesn't mean I am their sweetheart. Most men I see love their wives. They are compatible in every aspect of their lives, except the bedroom. They cherish these women they have spent years with, raised children with......women who have stuck with them thru success as well as days when there was nothing but ramen noodles in the cupboard.
It is important not to underestimate two people that share their lives together. And to trivialize the chocolates, flowers and gifts as a way to get some is to, in fact, trivialize love.
P.s. I know there are some raging ***** wives out there and of course they do not apply to my above post....lol.
