Trust is there, but I wouldn't want to put her in a situation that will eliminate that trust. For example, you own a store and trust your employees, but you want to truly trust them. You place a wallet that contains 500 bucks randomly on the floor in the retail area. If they have no fear that the cameras are watching, how employees (people) do you think would take the wallet?

So now I am the one accusing and I should actually be the one who is accused. My personal opinion though on my question is hell nah she can't braid no dudes hair while im at work. Man code violation right there. Just my personal opinion, just was curious to hear what other people that about that.

That said, if you have a problem with an SO's line of work, I see two options: support her fully so that she doesn't need to work, or find another SO.

O.[/QUOTE]LOL I feel where your coming from, the legal side of it. It's not that serious though, I have no problem with what she does. To shed some more light on the situation, she has no shop-she just knows how to braid hair. Kind of like someone who can draw really well, but they are no artist. There is no hairdresser type equipment at our place except for a comb. As far as braiding, that can be almost as intimate as getting a massage. So if I represent the question and ask. If your S / O knew how to give massages, wasnt a therapist or anything, would you allow her to give your good buddy a massage for his aching back while you were at work?

So I'll be by about 8pm. Hope she's ready for me. (joking)

Just offering my 2 cents as others have done without the benefit of context. Certainly every relationship is unique. A couple of general thoughts:

1) That the question was raised suggests there is a (perceived) trust issue somewhere. It is what it is.

2) Even if not sexual, private one-to-one time spent by heterosexual members of opposite gender that are unrelated are seen as dubious by many. Let me put it this way. I'm not going over to my buddy's house to spend time alone with his wife / GF / etc. For any reason even if it is just a perception issue.

3) The fact that it isn't a business just a hobby is even worse. I understand a GF that is a waitress or bartender doing a certain about of flirting. It pays the bills. She has to do it. If she behaved the same way for the hell of it. Well, not so good. So at least in my book the fact that this is just a hobby (optional) makes it worse in my book.

All that said, whatever floats your collective boat is cool with me. But you asked.

IMHO I wouldn't let it go down. I completely trusted my SO. We had been together about 2 years and I was aware that she braided hair on the side for a co-worker. She got paid for it sure enough but money wasn't the only this the guy was dishing out. They because sloppy in their acts and a condom that didn't flush was left in the toilet. I didn't say anything but came home early one day when she told me she would be braiding his hair. I work a little over an hour away BTW. But once I came home they were finishing up both naked in the shower. He got a good ole can of woop ass and she got put out in the nude went to the neighbors house and called the cops. Nothing the could do we are not married they told her it was a civil issue LOL.

Caught a girl I was dating going down on a dude after braiding his hair, she didn't know I was off work early and coming over. Be careful with allowing this.

Me personally, I wouldn't let no male over my house with my S / O even if its my brother, or cousin! I don't have any male at my house while she's there unless I'm present, point blank period! She better not have any of her friends there with me alone either if she knows better! Hahaha, why can't she do it when you are not at work though? That can cut out all temptations and keep honest people honest.

I dated a realtor before and I didn't like her showing houses to guys by herself.

All that time 1 on 1 driving around. Looking at properties. I know what can happen. Years ago I scored a piece off the realtor that helped me buy a place. Not sure if she liked me or thought it would make me more amenable to making an offer on something sooner vs. Later or what but she spread them. She was not married. Not sure what her dating situation was. After closing never heard boo from her.

I don't allow anyone male over my house alone with my Lady to even repair a sink if I am not there you are asking for trouble why open the door for Bull shit? The same way to have tricks on here that keep on running to these massage parlors over and over again in hopes to get a fill of some ass or a hand job. Seriously though: what do you do when she's out of town (or out of the country) on business trips?

Mine's been gone as long as 3-4 weeks on business travel in Japan, Germany, Mexico, wherever. At some point you just have to make allowances for business and assumptions about professionalism!
