Then she asked me with an odd look on her face, 'is there anything I can do?" I thought she was just being polite so I said no thanks and so she left before I realized that there may have been a subtext there.

I guess my question is: has anyone else come across a hotel maid offering "services"? I've heard of this of course but thought it was an urban legend. I kicked myself afterwards -- she was pretty cute and fit, probably Filipina. But I just wasn't on my game and didn't think to explore the options.

The price of her just being polite and friendly and you being wrong though could be pretty severe though so I'm not 100% sure if it's worth the risk. Don't forget this is the United States that you're living in.
