I like to drive a short distance to a nice neighborhood, and carry on. Even if one is spotted (by a civilian) in a nice area of town, it's not suspected he's with a SW. There are also fewer cops in nicer areas, and the ones that are around aren't looking for hookers/drugs.

I also like certain mall p-lots, especially nicer ones. There often seems to be an out of the way space that is removed from traffic, yet inconspicuous.



In France, it's popular to enter a private parking garage for daytime fun; I've been meaning to try it here.

Although "hide in plain sight" is one of my favorite axioms, "in plain sight" the other afternoon would've been next to any of the numerous LE cruising Sully when I was there. Maybe fortune will smile at me next week.

I don't know if this is fact or fiction, but it DID come from someone who is usually pretty well right on the money. Maybe one of the undercover LEO's on the board can provide a bit of insight for us. Here goes:

I heard that the City of Columbus is taking 47 "patrolmen" out of their cruisers and putting them on the streets in plain clothes in drug-seized and/or personal cars. The thinking is that cops in cruisers are highly visible, but their jobs are to pull over speeders, red light runners and drunk drivers. Supposedly if they see the same girl, for example, sitting on the same corner day after day and not waiting for a bus. They really have no right to hassle her because she's doing nothing wrong at the time and therefore, even though they know who she is and what she's doing they're kind of forced to leave her alone unless they actually witness her getting into and out of cars. With these same officers out of their cruisers and in unmarked vehicles, they can act as "vice" cops and be more effective in eliminating dope boys on the corners, SW's, etc. Thereby cutting down on violence rather than concentrating on traffic crime. A cop in an unmarked is less likely to be spotted by the dope boy/SW and therefore can more easily catch them in the act. Reducing the propensity towards violence in the neighborhoods.

Does any of this sound logical or familiar to anyone? The part (or one of the parts) that made it sound believeable to ME was that they were so specific in the number. Not 50 or close to 50, but I was told "47". Of course another thing is that with our illustrious mayor thinking he's going to declare his own personal war on violence, I wouldn't put this past him as an alternative that COULD be viable and at least worth a shot.

Sara had no clit ring. I too questioned Sara's age. She is cousin to an addicted gal I have heard about but not met; currently in jail. It sounds to me as if there are 2, young 10's running around the Capital. I may have to move there.

I don't live in C-bus, only visit occassionally. I have heard this same story about Dayton, Ohio twice in the past year, and have seen no evidence of such tactics whatsoever.

In fact if you check my reports from that town, which I visit more often, you will see the LE presence, number of marked cars, has reduced drastically this year. They seem to cover an area heavily 1 or 2 days a week, then you can drive the next day or 2 and not see one for hours.

The Dayton SW's report some UC action that targets the girls and that's how they wind-up in jail. But most of them are out day and night, so what do you expect. I guess time will tell about C-bus.

My guess here in C-bus, this is similar rumor to Dayton's noise about UC. Be safe and good hunting. MW

On second thought, Niteryder may very well be referring to Becky. I don't know whether or not she has a hood ring. She is a tiny little thing and is definitely shy of being 5' tall. I had a friend in Dayton and Know that the last few times she was picked up it was in unmarked undercover LE. They are out there maybe even more than we think. Unmarked drug siezed cars.

I will try to keep this short and sweet. UC is all over Columbus and I assume other cities as well. Back in the days of Courtland Ave (when it was the only place to be) it was very well known that Tuesday and Thursday were VICE days to search for and arrest as many SW as possible. That is some REALLY old Intel! It is like 365 NOW!

Every Senior member should be well schooled on when to GTF out of any area or stay away and know the ins and outs of this Topic. There was a report in the Dispatch recently that a dedicated and specific amount of working Cars and Trucks are reserved picked out then given to CPD EVERY month from the Columbus impound lot for there USE.
