Mental Health of Providers
. Because being a waitress is so complicated?
Its not typically possible to make the same $/hour waitressing, in the hours you set yourself, at home and sometimes while the children are present. I'm not saying I approve, just what I observe.
Warning. Lesson Re-Learned. I Am a DumbAss
Last night, I am on National, heading toward 27th. A white, full size, cargo van is parked by the McDonalds on 25th (I think 25th). The van honks at me. So, I drive around the block and the van is still there with a WSW. She's blonde. 5'.5'4" ish, hefty and round but more athletic and appears to be 50 or so. Probably in her 40's though. I pick her up, we ride around a few blocks.
I do not do car dates, so, my MO is to get a number for a future time. She did not like this, but I did not see any problems with her getting out of line. When I pull over and stop at the location I picked her up at, the van is gone (no big surprise) and as I ask her if she's like to be dropped off someplace else, she says I need to give her $40. I said no and she starts screaming, tries to put my shifter in park and take my keys. I do not have small bills (just left casino) , I end up giving her $100.
When I started this hobby, I read the forum in great detail; not only in the Wisconsin threads, but in the Rockford threads as well. I consider myself very well informed and not easily intimidated. I let my guard down and got what I had coming.
I have read stories of this sort of thing happening and after picking up many SWs, this is the first. I was shocked (startled) and found myself not quite knowing how I was going to get out of the situation. Her very aggressive method and the loudness of her voice disarmed me and all the thoughts I had in the past about being able to get out of this type of situation were out the door.
Thoughts that crossed my mind while it was happening.
1) I could start hitting her and would probably win the fight, but what attention would that bring. I really do not want to be explaining to LEO what I am doing there.
2) If I start fighting, who was in the van that is watching and can blindside me?
3) What weapons might she have that would cause me to lose said fight and how do I explain to wife and family a stab wound?
4) As I am riffling through $1500 in my hand and she's waiting for me to find a second $20 bill, how long would it have been before she figured out she could get a lot more than $40? Giving her $100 bill was probably a good decision.
5) Why did I disregard all the advice I have read? The money should be in the trunk with just small stuff in my pocket. DUMB ASS.
Don't get lazy out there.
