The Rose Garden was still closed at 5pm Saturday. The lock at the top of the outside stairwell gate is still in place. Thinking that perhaps Rose, Vivi (Bibi or Phoebe) and Sophie had possibly moved to recently reopened 520, I headed over there. Open, but I would have be better served by a locked door.
I ponied up the house fee at 520 even though there was no floral scene. Spent an hour with Nana and it was not worth the time, and certainly not worth the. 6 + 1. 0.
With gas prices being up there where they are, I've decided to get in the habit of calling before travelling to an AMP, but I was driving around DC for some un-related business when I:
Called 14k- several times-, but no one answered the phone.
Called Supra; number disconnected.
I headed over to H&H (it's on my way home), but no one answered the door. I don't have a number for them, so I didn't call ahead of time; anyhow, I got no response after several minutes of waiting. What's the deal with this place anyway?

That's a confirmed when I went by late Thursday afternoon.
I feel like this was only a matter of time. The place was getting way too much coverage here on the board.
Took my first trip south of the border, walked by all of the Ethiopian places, rang the bell, and found my way into a room. Had never been before but said I had, and was fine.
Drew Ruby. Ruby looks like she's in her 20's, 5' and maybe an inch, with a great thin body with some nice natural B's. She looks like a hot little Korean co-ed.
Had a good TS, good massage, and then before the flip, had my first experience with AR. Asked to flip, and had a great time. Had some cuddling after, followed by an extended continued massage of the front, then a shoulder and neck rub while sitting up, and then was dressed and cared for the whole time.
She had a great attitude, was very cute, with a great face, beautiful smile and a great body. Only down side was that she is a smoker, and although it wasn't overly strong on her, you could definitely smell something.
All in all, I'd give her 9's accross the board and would definitely repeat.

Not to dispute the prior comments, but I think a number of factors are in play here. I think Black Wednesday a couple of years ago was an immigration raid that was based on a long investigation.
For 14K, we don't know why they were closed yet. I think if they were busted, there would have been some news report somewhere. If that shows up on the police blotter, reporters love to see a juicy story.
There could be some economics too. The spas don't appear to be able to advertise in the Post anymore (it's a bit inconsistent, I know) so it's hard to get new customers other than through the board. And maybe the girls don't want to come here anymore for $160 a pop. In New York there is an overabundance of spas with great reviews. There is LE in New York also but the price of $200 makes the incentives greater to keep opening new places.
We don't really know the whys here, but it does appear the good old days are over, at least for now.

The new countries in the Visa Waiver program (starting in 1/09 I think) are: Czech Republic, Estonia, Latvia, Slovakia, Lithuania, Hungary, Malta, and South Korea. Hopefully DC gets flooded with AMP (and non-AMP) providers from these countries.
14K It was hit by local LE after an investigation turned up they have no license. From what I know no one was arrested they were told to lock up and leave. Nothing at all like what happened two years ago!

I have been saying something about this all along with the way things are right now I just feel all of the information we provide here is somewhat shooting ourselves in the foot.
Even the providers themselves as much as they like the marketing think this is contributing to the landslide of problems.
Please take note I said ((((contributing)))) I'm not saying this is the only problem.
However in recent years showing / writing about our forum here in the open news / newspapers I'm sure there's a lot of busy bodies who had no idea what was down the street until they freely read it here. Then they call local LE who has no choice but to investigate.
I don't know what the answers are, but I do know that slowly we're losing our AMP`s one by one.

Some time ago (ie, many years), there was an AMP on wisc ave near the safeway and holiday inn, and I was caught in a bust.
Thankfully all action on my part has finished and I was putting on my shoes when suddenly plainclothes LE came through and opened all the doors. I realized what it was and just sat there; DC copdude in charge came in and asked me what I was there for; I responded very respectfully and with a lot of "sirs" that I was there for a massage; he asked if there was any "masterbation"; I interpreted that as me jerking myself off and said no; he says "we're after the girls, not the Johns"; he asked again and I said no; then he looked and me and basically said "dude, I'm a man, ok, I know you're lyin"; I remained mute, because anything you say can and will be used against you; they led me downstairs where they were taking polaroids of the girls; he asked the other cops if they wanted my pic; they said no; I walked out.
What I learned:
1. Stay calm even though you're freaking out inside.
2. Remain respectful; look LE in the eye and use the word "sir" or "officer" or both.
3. Do not rely on promises made or implied in questioning, or any threat that. They "know" you did something, or "man-to-man" speaking style like you're both in it together.
4. Understand that. With some exceptions for on-street activities. LE views this as enforcement against supply, not demand.

Regarding ICM. Used to be a frequent visitor there and glad I didn't experience that one first hand
But I still miss that place. ICM body concepts. Something fierce and often wonder what happened to the girls, or that type of girl, who used to work at that place
It's hard to find chocolate non-FS love like that at reasonable prices. Any Intel appreciated.

But like AJ said, I do see the correlation between reports here and closings. Is there something that we could do to sort this thing out? How can we continue sharing info and helping new "legit" guys into the hobby without destroying our own lifestyle?

This is true .. All of us have used the board and would not have had a lot of the great experiences without it. So how can this be remedied? Maybe like on other boards the public could have access to just basic info with full access only for reviewers. It might or might not help.
