TOFTT - Massage U Love in CM
Stopped by a place called Massage U Love on the corner of Adams and Harbor in Costa Mesa a few weeks ago. (2790 Harbor, Suite 103). The place looks a dump on the outside but is pretty nice on the inside. It's is Chinese run and the massage was actually better than average. I made my usual gestures and it became clear that it was unlikely any extras were on the menu. So I resigned myself to no happy ending and enjoyed the rest of the massage.
After I made the flip I noticed something I’ve never seen in a AMP in Orange County. There is a security type camera mounted on the ceiling looking straight down on the table. I asked about this and she said there had been trouble in the past and the camera is there for safety purposes.
Anyway, as I opened the door to leave the woman was standing there, almost blocking my exit, asking for a tip. I said that I paid for an hour and I received an hour. She said that she gave a good massage and wanted a tip. As I was leaving the manasan also told me to leave a tip.
99% of the time I would have left a tip – not a large tip but at least $10. (If a business chooses not to offer extras that’s their choice.) But I’ve been to China many times and I know that’s an insult to ask for a tip and I resented the tactics.
(Massage U Love is not to be confused the place on the third floor of the same building)
Camera viewing the table?
If I ever get to a place where I see a camera pointed at the table, I am done and asking for my money back. That is ridiculous. In fact, it is against the law to record/view in areas where privacy can reasonably expected. I would say a massage room is a place where privacy is expected. Now if they are paying me for the video, then maybe :o)
