The way urban legends begin
I understand the concerns of the Ladies at Tokyo and as a former patron of the place I do sympathize with them. I do not wish to cause them any loss of revenue through lack of business due to on going security concerns. Unfortunately, this information was provided to me from 2 different independent sources, and I personally would just very aware of what is around you when going in or out of the business -or any other business, with the way things are happening these days here in the area.
I trust the sources and also. Yes, I would go visit Tokyo. But be careful. No malice is meant by this post. It is just a heads up for everyone.
Was one a friend of your cousin's and the other a guy that worked with your brother's college roommate? I think you are getting stories mixed up. This did happen down in Mobile https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=YQQK4DRhCes.
And this did just happen a block away from Q. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=YQQK4DRhCes.
I too go to Tokyo all the time and it's pretty damn out of the way to go and rob someone in their parking lot. Much more convenient locations with more potential targets. Regardless, as mentioned, this is Memphis. If you're scared of that stuff, don't leave you're house.

The fine upstanding citizens of Memfo just might make a bag run thru any of the places, and stealing everything in the place. Including IDs and stuff. Be careful. This is Memphis.
Sharing customer's personal INFO
On the subject of a business sharing a customer's personal info: This may be a big fear but I think whoever is scared about this is not thinking straight. What information would a business have on customers unless you use a credit card? Most are a cash only operation. Some girls will ask your name just to be friendly, but I always use the same alter-ego name and it's first name only. I don't think they would waste their time collecting license plate numbers. About the only thing they could have from you would be any info that might show up on caller-ID if you call from anything other than a burner phone. I hope everyone can relax before this gets blown out of proportion. Sometimes when people try to explain themselves, they add too much info.
