4 arrested in prostitution sting
Four female employees at three Inglewood massage parlors were arrested this week on suspicion of prostitution during an ongoing undercover sting by police officers.
Officers posed as massage customers on Wednesday and arrested the employees on suspicion of solicitation for prostitution, maintaining a house of ill fame, identity theft and licensing violations.
The three parlors were: Royal Chiropractic Therapy at 401 S. La Brea Ave., Sue's Accupressure at 261 S. La Brea Ave. and Q Therapy at 321 E. Hillcrest Blvd.
The women arrested are Soon Hee Lee, 51; Leija Grisel, 23; Suzki Song, 39; and Jung Ja Lee, 67. All are from Los Angeles.
So does that mean yumi won't be working for awhile. Man, it sucks, inglewood used to be the shit there for awhile.
What happens to customers in a place during a bust? Assuming you're not caught in the act, can you get into trouble? Has anybody here ever been in a bust? I'm sure many of us are wondering about this. Any info would be appreciated.

I've been caught in a bust before. I didn't get booked thankfully though. This was shortly before LP/LS went down.
At the time it seemed that LE was more concerned about making making us too scared to come back. No johns were arrested while I was there but they did threaten us A LOT. Who knows if this is the case all the time, but I'd rather not find out the hard way.
As for not being caught in the act. It didn't matter. I had finished and walked out when I saw LE in the room. I was trying to casually walk out but they stopped me. There were others who were caught in the act, and others who had just walked in and were sitting waiting when LE came in.
That one time was pretty much enough to keep me out of the 'wood since. I have been back under a handful of times and it was against my better judgment.
I'm guessing they pressure you to admit guilt. They're not above lying either. I read once that a cop (not Inglewood) once told a monger that the girl told the truth in an attempt to get him to admit wrongdoing. The cop told the monger if you tell the truth, it will be easier for you. If you lie you go to jail and your family is informed. Now that's pressure.
I have read here that it is best not to ever, ever admit guilt unless you are caught in the act. You are visiting a massage parlor licensed by the city and you only want a massage. Would the girls ever squeal on you to make it easier for them?

I had business in San Pedro last Saturday and thought I'd check out the local talent. Had some leads with me but they didn't pan out. Desperate now I picked up the DB to see what I could find. On my home back up the 405 I called one then another and then another. It wasn't until I got to Gardena that I hit pay dirt.
Old woman in a white coat answered the door. She told me it was 50/30 and 80/60. I asked if she was doing the massage, she laughed and said no. Thank god! I paid for 30 minutes and she told me to get ready.
In walks this beauty, we exchange hellos and names while she is rubbing my ass. Nice. She then started kissing my ears, neck and back then down to my ass pulled my cheeks apart while she played with the guys. I have my hands all over her.
She asked me if I wanted everything and I said yes. She held out her hands and I asked her how much. She said "You know". I told her I didn't because I wasn't from around here and asked "$80?", she shook her head no, "$100", she smiled. I gave her the cash, sat on the edge of the table and watched as she took off her clothes. WOW! What a nice little body!
Great section with a great girl. CBJ while I was sitting on the table, 69, mesh, finished doggie.
Her name is Mimi, Korean, she wouldn't tell me her age but hinted she was around 30, I guessed 22-24, maybe 5'-5'2", 85-95 pounds. The face of an angel, the performance of a woman and a body of a 16 year old.
She asked me to come back and I told her I couldn't because it was to far from my house. Then she told me she worked at another place on SM Blvd. and asked if that was closer. I told her it was and she gave me the address and the days she worked there. That's still kind of far but I just might go and see her there.

yes, it is not illegal for the cops to do this (ie: to lie to try and get you to confess). if they can't prove anything, you are best to just be very polite -- admit no wrongdoing and play dumb (ie: i just wanted a massage, is there something else that goes on here?). if they become aggressive/assholes, politely repeat that you have no idea what this is about and you have done nothing wrong and that you would like to leave and if that is not possible you would like to call your attorney.

Okay, this issue comes up every time this happens.
While I am not a criminal attorney (I am civil litigation), I am know a lot of them, and have hired several for some of the working girls I know, owners, mangers, and johns who got busted. The deal is, the cops usually don't care about collaring the johns, and even with respect to the girls, they will arrest them in order to try to get them to sing in exchange for a misdemeanor charge of solicitation instead of a criminal solicitation-type charge, so they can just pick up trash in an orange vest for a weekend, and get probation.
The Pigs know that some of these girls have been arrested several times, and it is no big deal for them to get arrested again (even though they tend to get upset and cry each time as girls do). Thus, the cops will just pick the girls up, take them in, and try to coax them to talk while they are in the cooler for the night. These girls know not to talk, so they can get out and earn a living at the same place, if it is still open, or another place, and not have the rep. for beeing a stool pigeon.
With respect to the johns, the cops' goal is the same, but a little different tactic is used. While what Monster says may be legally true, it MAY, or MAY NOT, be the best way to get home that night to see your wife and kids without incident. What the cops do usually with the johns is that they know that your greatest concern is NOT to be arrested, and have your wife or friend come to bail you out, and have to appear on a solicitation charge later that goes on your record. So they use this, and they give you a strange delima.
The delimma the cops give is: give up your 5th amendment right, and "tell the truth" about what is going on, or if you play dumb, or give some BS story about just being there for a message, they will arrest and prosecute. And yes, they will lie, and tell you, for example, that the girl that you were with talked, and specifically mentioned you as somebody that paid to have sex. So, while it is legally correct to shut up, and exercise your 5th Amendment right, the cops position is that they will arrest you if you do so, even if you eventially can beat the wrap, after expending lawyer fees, getting divorced, etc. So what they did when Lapaz and LS were raided once a week, for example, is they would line the unfortunate johns who got caught when it went down, and offer this deal to them, talk, and tell them you paid for sex in the place, or let's go downtown where your wife can bail you out.
I know it is a backward delimma, and I don't know if I would talk. I probably would shut up and go to jail if that is what it took, but my personal situation would allow that. But for some of you folks who have wives and GFs who would not understand having to bail you out after being in the cooler for the night, it is a hard choice.

i guess it does depend on your circumstances and those of how you got caught (ie: in the act or did you just walk into the place -- you have very different leverage in each).
the net for me though is i would never, ever, ever, ever admit a crime if i knew it could not be proven. that is just 101 stuff. talk to any attorney, they will all say "SHUT UP" when it comes to dealing with cops (in any situation). just be polite, calm and ask to call your lawyer.

My point is, they do this to the guys no matter whether they were caught in the act, getting a legit message at the time, or just waiting to see a girl. What people don't understand is just how much power the cops have. Just take a look at the Rampart scandle.
The goal is to get you to give a statement that you paid to have sex in the place, basically in exchange for going home that nignt without having to be processed and bailed out.
Yes, as a lawyer, I would advise my own client not to say anything. But the cops give this delimma where they say you can go home if you would just confess, and guess what, they may tell you that, you may give them all the information they need, and they can still run you in.
My understanding from the guys this has happened to is that they were allowed to go home, with a promise never to go back to the place, and nothing further happened. I am sure then when LP and LS went down, they had a database full of statements from johns to bolster the other evidence they had against the Texas motorcycle madam who they altamately found out was the real owner.

I would hate for misleading legal advice to be posted on this board so I am going to add my 2 cents in the hope that someone with crim law experience can set the board straight. In my opinion, under no circumstances should a John say anything to LE. It's my understanding solicitation/prostitution is a misdemeanor, and as such, needs to be committed in front of the LE officer for an arrest to be made. Further, the statements from the John are hearsay, and unless the John is going to be subpoenaed to testify in court, the statements are likely only admissible against the John. I don't even think they are sufficient to get a warrant. If the John does admit to an offense, he stands the chance of (1) being arrested and charged; and/or (2) being subpoenaed to testify as a witness in the trial of the provider. If the John keeps his mouth shut, he will likely be released, after LE puts the fear of god into him. Of course, this is just my theory and may not reflect reality. Can someone who practices crim defense, or a prosecutor please set us straight?
I'll ask another question or two also.
1) Is it against the law for us to receive a massage while we or the girl is undressed?
2) Is there a law against visiting a "known place of prostitution" or a place otherwise known to be a criminal nuisance?
I think we all need to know what to do in case of a bust. I would fully expect the cops to be assholes. My experience with various inspectors and people empowered by the government is that they are usually assholes and will try to show off their power by pushing you around.
Simply keep your mouth shut! Cops will try to scare you by using all kinds of tactics; namely lies and deceit. Like someone mentioned earlier, merely being in an "eatablishment", licensed by the city/county, is hardly a crime. Sure, LE may know what goes on there, but there main focus when raiding a place is to get Johns to cop to a violation of the law.
Solicitation and/or any related offense is certainly something that one does not want on his record. By pressuring a John into "cooperating", LE's only concern is getting him to admit to a crime so that it can be used against him in court. LE has no interest in letting anyone off the hook if they can get a confession. They use this BS tactic, when they have nothing, so that you will think they are trying to help you! What a load of crap! It's like when you're doing 80 mph on the freeway and the cop who pulls you over says he's doing you a favor by writing the ticket for 75 mph. I still have to pay the ticket. If he really wanted to help me, he'd have acknowledged that I was polite and cooperative and let me off with a warning.
I'd like to say that they have bigger fish to fry, and indeed they do, but it's much easier to make money off otherwise law-obiding citizens, than hardened criminals. All though grossly corrupt and unfair, most of us will or need to throw money at the problem to make it go away.

Every lawyer, and half way intelligent non-lawyer, knows you should shut up when detained for questioning in this type of situation. As I said plainly, I would advise my own client to shut up. And this is whether you think you technically violated some city ordinance, or state statute, forbiding visits to places of ill repute, or the like. And yes, I have taken on criminal matters, including white collar crime where my client was up for 5-10 in the Fed Pen. Just not of this nature.
The point of my story is that, based on testimonials, and reports on this very web site, the cops will at least sometimes give you this choice, and it is a hard choice, legally correct or not. Yes, if you want to beat the wrap, and go through processing and bail, if that is what you decide to do, you will most likely, eventually, beat it, or at least have it pled down to a misdermeaner, after mortgaging your house for a good attorney.
The cops realize that you just want to go home and avoid all this, so they take advantage of your situation to get what they want.
No legal advice, and anybody who looks for legal advice applied to their specific situation on the internet is basically trying to act as his own attorney, and we know what they say about that, they have a fool for a client.

Ok, I know a lot of you guys said that you'd never admit to anything, ask for your lawyer when questioned, wouldn't give up any information, etc etc. But please don't take this the wrong way, but until you have been in the same situation as I was, you just don't know what you will do. Having actually been in that situation and KNOWING that I shouldn't admit to anything I still did. Why? BECAUSE I WAS SCARED. Yes thats right, I'm man enough to say. I was rattled plain and simple and I didnt want to be arrested. I've been arrested before and its not something I look forward to repeating. Anyone who says that they wouldn't be scared in my place is either a liar or doesn't get shaken up easily. If its the latter, then kudos to you. I'm pretty sure the guys that were literally caught with their pants down and their dicks in some chick one min and found themselves being pulled off them by the cops the next didn't have a clear head and were scared shitless.
Just being in an AMP is enough for suspicion. It's like a white kid driving around in a BMW in Compton looking for drugs. Gee, that's not strange at all right? Sure they might not be able to get you convicted on something major, but the whole process of being arrested, processed, and dealing with court is a pain in the ass. Not to mention the embarrassment of it all. They use that knowledge in the back of your head as a weapon against you. In all honesty though, they know (and we know) that the girls there and the Johns are replaced every minute by someone new. They want the bigger fish. That's what gets promotions.

Its official. The pigs are reducing mongering with their tactics. Our discisions are now legal since we are understandably all worried. I get caught I'm screwed. Next time I go I'm going to ask "when you are closed can we meet privately, and only when you're closed" Hope it works.
With busts happening at an alarming rate, I believe this topic is relevant. I think there was some useful discussion and information passed along. Thanks to all that expressed an opinion especially Nother Monger.

i'm still waiting for someone to point to an actual instance where a monger who kept his mouth shut was actually arrested/processed ... especially if there is no provable commitment of intent or an actual crime (ie: you just walked in). under that scenario i can be ticketed for standing on a street corner for the intent of jaywalking. who can chime in with a real life story?

I was busted in a motel sting long time ago (5 years ago), I just kept my mouth shut. They kept asking me question after question like "how much were you going to pay" etc, etc. I did not say anything just stayed there like a Zombie, anyway they gave me a ticket and let me go after half an hour. Later I lost the fight in the court, stupid lawyer lesson learned get a private lawyer. I had to do 3 weeks of community service.
Went by LAX today all the signs were gone and gate was locked up. Did they move or did they get busted. Does anyone know if Luna is working any where else.
Thanks
Just the opposite, Several years ago I was in an AMP and heard banging on the doors. I had just finished banging her and she ran out of the room and out the back door. I just stayed there on my stomach and played dumb. They asked me a lot of questions, took my CDL# and let me go. I think the place was busted for not having a business license. This was in the City of Los Angeles.

last year i was driving down figueroa, i saw a cute girl who may have been a s/w, wasn't sure so i pulled over and watched for a bit to she was just standing there, she was wearing a skirt, not to short, she wasn't waving at the cars she could have been anyone's sister friend mother whatever, she wasn't an obvious s/w.
i see a b&w pull up so i sit there and watch from a distance, the solo male cop rubs her up in an alleged search, the s/w was detained maybe 10 minutes, the cop was writing her a ticket, so i hang out till he is done once clear, i head up pick her up and we drive away she says she needs a ride to broadway where she is staying, so i ask her about the cop, she says she got a ticket for loitering with the intent to solicit, i asked her how she could get a ticket for just standing there she said she didn't know.
never forget cops can say anything they want, never admit to anything, some cops are crooked and will lie always be careful. when they say you have a right to remain silent or anything you say can and will be used against you they ain't joking. just imagine your own words used against you, let's say she was 17, you two get caught, and you said you went out there looking for pussy, the cop could testify to how you cruised the area looking for **** girls you area predator because you admit going out there often etc it's a slippery slope when you give them ammo, it will be very hard to keep quiet, but try and remember, you will only be hurting yourself by speaking with le.
Here is my opinion. Most of these busts are not done on the fly, but rather are very much a planned event. Therefore, it has already been decided, during the planning session before the bust, whether any Johns will be arrested or not. Naturally, even though they already decided not to take in any Johns, if you are a total ass, then you will be taken in anyways. If they decided that they are going to take in the Johns, then you are screwed no matter what you do.
The article below, from a practicing criminal attorney, shows quite a bit of insight:
http://www.dinday.com/legalinfo.html#ten
Of course, LE may have decided ahead of time, those that are cooperative will be turned loose, while those who request a lawyer, well those guys are going to need one :)
Bottom line, there is no right answer for all situations.

Undercover detectives made 15 arrests during a series of operations to combat prostitution at massage parlors and a park in Inglewood, police said Monday.
Eleven of the arrests occurred at Edward Vincent Park at Florence and Centinela avenues, which has become a haven for people engaging in sexual activity, Inglewood police Sgt. Robert Pessis said.
"It has become a popular location for people to go, but we are going to take the park back," Pessis said.
Police decided to target lewd activity last week after a child walked into a restroom and found a man engaged in a sexual act, Pessis said.
"These are just people loitering in the park for the purposes of lewd conduct," Pessis said.
Police focused on the restrooms and other outdoor areas.
"It appears it had been getting worse," Pessis said.
"We wanted to put our foot down and curb this problem."
Most of the people arrested were not Inglewood residents, he said.
Police also continued a campaign to stop sexual activity at massage businesses that offered "extras" to customers.
Undercover officers posing as massage customers visited 601 Spa at 601 West Manchester Blvd. and Crystal Therapy at 714 North La Brea Ave. and arrested four women for a variety of offenses, including solicitation of prostitution, maintaining a house of ill fame, and licensing violations.
Police identified those arrested as Dina Marie Petrone, 29, of Studio City; Sook Lee, 35, of Los Angeles; Jung Ok Lee, 61, of Burbank; and Fa Hong, 37, of Los Angeles.
The Inglewood Police Department's vice team will continue operations at massage parlors.
"Most of the massage parlors are closed down," Pessis said. "We are going to keep hitting them until they are gone."

I didn't know that there were any AMP's left in Stinglewood!!! I guess that there aren't now...
Sgt. Robert Pecker ought to be ashamed of himself. Inglewood is scary dangerous and he's spending resources going after AMPs.
I wonder if they're going after amps because their officers were spending too much time in them (as customers).

This Sgt is the same person that I got tangled up with in '05 at LP.
What do you guys think about creating a new thread topic and keep this one for reports?

Yeah, I "met" him too a couple of years back. He must be trying to be Chief or Mayor and use this as his platform to get the job. In my experience with him, he was pretty cool to me and kind of well spoken, which supports my theory that he is trying to become "Chief of Moral Police"!!!
Maybe the "new" Jerry Farwell, Hmmmmm....
Maybe when he is done, he can do something about the drive-bys and bangers?
Visited an amp near Van Ness and Rose, kind of interesting asked me to wait 5min and fill out a form for what muscle therapy I needed, of course gave all accurate personal info ;). Also an fyi they have the large gaps at the top and bottom of the doors.
The typical .5 entry fee, got Angie. (mon through thurs) A little older and a little thicker than I usually like but great personality. Nice massage, good cbj, but gentlemen I have never, I mean never felt the muscle control she had during acg. Talk about "magic fingers" I swear she could probably peel a banana with that thing. And the look on my face gave her a big smile too.
Was not busy at the time so we talked after for probably 20 more min. with me roaming over her softness and nice nipples.
Even at the end she never asked for a tip, but I treated her with respect for the relaxed unrushed service.
Not my usual taste for body type, but the attitude will bring me back again.
Sr. members if you don't know the location I'm talking about pm me.
Sboard (very relaxed right now)
Well there goes the neighborhood, at the rate things are going stinglewood is going to become a ghosttown for AMP's.
I agree we should create a new thread topic for legal matters and keep this one for reports.

Misfit
Wow this is sad, Inglewood is basically no more. A few years ago when Inglewood was in its prime that place was a hobbiest heaven. Now, I gotta dig deep just to find a decent LMP
Must have been gay stuff going on at the park because I can't remember a single post about the park. For some unknown reason gay people like to meet at the park, reminds me of George Michael getting busted in park bathrooms.
Inglewood can go back to a gang infested highway between la & lax for all I care, Take the Costco and gas stations I shop at off my list.
