Yes, technically your REAL number is linked to that account, but it's nothing anyone has access to. If somebody's getting a court order to dig into your account, you've done more than pay for a little pussy. I've been using GV for years with no issues. Best of all. It's free. You can turn it off when you want. You can block individual numbers. And you can set up a fake Facebook profile.

To be safe, get a fake google email account and link your voice to it.

I wasn't quite sure where to post this. So it ended up here. No I didn't get ripped off but it is a warning to others just to be very careful out there. I had over the last two days via email tried to get ahold of Lori from Racine. She posts on BP and is older. I was looking for a BBBJ. She kept contacting me back via email saying to call or text her, but not leaving her number. So I emailed her back twice asking for her number. Then this morning I get a lengthy email from her. Here it is:

Hey sweet, how is everything with you and hope your doing great dear? Can't wait to meet ya pretty soon, have been in Ohio for few days now, there was an emergency so I needed to leave at once dear, I really need to discuss something important with you and its very urgent. My sister Lila in Ohio is very sick and about to have a kidney transplant, she needs some financial help from me but I'm presently broke and cash strapped at the moment, wondering if you can borrow me some money so she can sort out some bills before the surgery, I'm paying you back soon as I'm back from my trip please. I can't afford to lose her, she's all have got, please email me back so I can be sure if you can do something about my request, I will be so delighted and will remain grateful to you for life if you can do this for me, I must surely pay you back babe. Thanks for your time, waiting on your reply.

My cell phone is off for now but will let ya know what number you can reach me on later okay sweetie.

I didn't and wouldn't ever give her anything. I did years back do something and lost some money (over $1000). So I guess this is a warning never to give these gals $ in this type of situation because more often than not you will lose out on the deal.

Sometimes you can place your cursor over the name in the "from" header at the top of the email. It should show the address of the person it came from. If it's bogus it will likely be some obscure address. All it takes is for one of these girls to click on a link in an email and it unleashes malware that phishes through the contacts for email addresses.

Same day I got it Mary had an ad up for Milwaukee. Contacted her and she said "Yeah that's definitely not me. What the fuck that pisses me off bc I would never say any of that. ".

I just don't know enough about her whether she is trying to scam me or if it's legit or if someone hacked her email account. I guess the reason I posted this is to let other mongers to be aware of this problem or issue with the ladies. Also in case Lori had emailed anyone else on here so they could be cautious when dealing with her.

Sometimes they even sound convincing. But I suspect it came from a scammin' spammer.

Now googlevoice makes you add and verify a cell or home number. I did this about 3 times with 3 different email addys with the same phone, now my phone is blocked from being used With googlevoice.
