Some of us have "domestic" reasons for not getting the phone until we arrive in LV.
Why not pick one up before you go? That's my plan. Is there a downside to that? Who wants to spend time in Vegas buying and activating a phone. Radio Shack has the trac phones, as well. For $10. 00 and 500 minutes you can't beat that. It does seem like most only come with car chargers.
ATT Go phone UNLIMITED talk + text for $2 a day seems a way to go. Last thing I want to be doing in Vegas is counting minutes. 5 days = $10 use fees and I let it "expire" out of funds and I'm done!
Plan:

Walmart has the phone kit for $9.98:

Walgreens on Strip
Are there places along the strip to pickup a throw away hobby cell phone + prepaid acct. Cheap?
Or would I be better off getting getting a "Boost" or some such in my locale before heading to LV?
I tried a few search terms in this and the "In town" threads with no results so sorry if this was covered already.
There's a Walgreens between Venetian and Palazzo on the strip.
But I have to wonder, why hobby in LV at all? Unless you come from a town of less than 100, 000; I'm sure there's plenty of local resources where you live. If you are stuck on the strip, then your choices are limited or you must use cabs and the girls know this and price accordingly.
Away from the strip, LV is more like other medium sized cities; with the exception that the male demographic is a bit younger.

Net10 is good if you traveling 2 weeks to 30 days with 200 or 300 minutes, which enough for the purpose. 30 days on ATT will cost you $60 plus the $10 for the phone. Now you have a choice.

Why hobby in LV?
Thanks for the Walgreens info.
Why hobby in LV?
Well several reasons.
I'm not coming to LV to hobby but while I'm there - I am a monger!
I'll be there long enough I want to enjoy some strange.
The level of tail I see available in LV far exceeds what can be found where I live.
We have no porn stars here working and not near the count of attractive escorts you have in LV.
90% of ours are pigs who outweigh me, yet think they are goddesses.
This is about comparable to our girls here:
http://www.usasexguide.info/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=127486
And not being single this is a rare chance for hobbying at my leisure instead of just in stolen moments when I can't get caught.
I'd have to think this list matches many tourists who come to LV.
Hobby phone is a no brainer for my plans.
Thanks for all the intel and replies from the LV group here.
Much appreciated!

Me too
I do as well. I figure how hard can it be to stash a phone for a few days? Believe me, I understand your dilema.
Some of us have "domestic" reasons for not getting the phone until we arrive in LV.
Why?
It's not possible for me at home, but in Vegas with a like minded buddy, I can do whatever I want to, whenever I want. I cannot just call an escort and ask her to stop on over the house. Besides that compare Baltimore BP to Las Vegas BP and you'll understand.

39 million

There must be infinite reasons why they do it. What else is there to do when you win money from the casino? I'd definatly blow it or get blown with it.
Was your question directed to locals here? That's a good question, why do you?

B. K. At Rio
McDonald's and Burger King operate a combined total of more than 80 restaurants in the Las Vegas Valley, with smaller brands scattered in between. But Burger King's new Whopper Bar at the Rio puts a different spin on its traditional offerings, serving up burgers and booze 24 hours a day, a seemingly perfect fit for Las Vegas.
The Rio location, which celebrated its grand opening Friday, is the company's first Whopper Bar in the western market.
The restaurant offers what the company calls 'premium burgers' with more than 22 toppings such as guacamole, bleu cheese and grilled onions. Diners can either build their own sandwich or choose from pre-built ones like the 'black and bleu burger' or the 'California Whopper. '
Want fries and a Miller Lite with your sandwich? That's $2. 99 extra for a total of about $8 on average for a meal.
From what I've seen on TV, Wal-mart has the best deal on one now. Seems like it was 10. 00 for the phone and they give you 500 min to start. I think long distance was included. If this is the case, I'd pick one up and have it charged when you land! I'm sure there might be some kind of catch to a phone that cheap, but it did say no contract, pay as you go. At that price, just throw it away before you head home.
There's no $10 phone with 500 minutes offered at Walmart. I just hate the BS.
I know there's not much in NC, but where is your report Jack?

DJP
If you read the report, it said from what I'd seen on TV, and if that was the case it was a good deal. Since I don't have to worry about a prepaid or throw away, I really don't pay much attention to those adds. I know they have a phone for $10, there is a link posted for it. I only suggested that it might be worth looking into Jack!

\DJP
I think he probably saw the Net10 commercial and wasn't really paying attention. I also have total ADD when it comes to TV period but I think that deal is for $50 or $60 per month for unlimited everything and the prepaid phone. I usually like to get the $20 pre-paid 300 minute phones for my ventures. Not sure if that deal is still available as I haven't looked since late last year.

Uber Posting
I decided to put this report / comment in the "off-Topic" thread but it really applies to all the threads. The USA Sex Guide ISN'T twitter or facebook. This is a resource and a guide for myself and all my fellow mongers (Amen). IMHO I've noticed alot of idle chatter / white noise on the threads lately and its usually coming from the same members that always tell people to "RTFF". Easier said than done when one has to sift through 200 or more posts of BS just to get to the relevant matter. But USA Sex guide has magically already come up with a solution to this problem. Its called PM."Know it, Learn it, Live it" (from Fast Times at Ridgemont High)
