They were probably complaining about all the nice cars in the neighborhood that didn't belong. Also probably to the fact that Alpha didn't accept food stamps like the little store on the first floor.

You know the joke about the 3 great lies (the check is in the mail, the dentist saying 'this won't hurt' and the teenage guy telling his new girlfriend 'I won't come in your mouth')? Well, this quote from the WFSB article qualifies as the 4th great lie:
"Hartford police said what's even more important than the money is that [I]the people in the neighborhood where the Alpha Club was operating sought help from police.[/I]" If anyone actually believes this, I've got a bridge in Brooklyn that I'd be happy to sell to them.
Interestingly, one could make a reasonable argument that the neighborhood has gotten worse, not better, since the Alpha was closed down.
Actually, the club has been open since the 70's and the cops did know about it, because I have seen many an off duty in there as a customer. As for the drugs and violence, isn't it amasing that since all three clubs closed, the major crime rate has increased through the roof!!!
So maybe the clubs weren't the cause of it after all.

Not that I partake in SW scene but when I pass them I want you all to know where and when for your info. Weth. Ave. has been popping with many of them. Sitting on steps of an apt. brick house was a 30yo wsw brown hair. nice rack if it was real. got the look for sure. 2 psw walking together one was a bit hefty and the other had her thong hangin out. Same look. I was in slow traffic heading south and had an older blonde with long hair and jean shorts knock on my window as I stopped to make a call. I rolled the window down and kept my door locked. She wasn't bad I'm just scared to partake. She asked for a ride but I declined and told her I would spread the word to a few friends for her for the biz. Called herself Gina. She said she'd be out all week. Needs to pay some bills. To each his own right. Go boys!! This was yesterday just before the storm started. If any of you travel down the pike, check out south side near Meriden. Always a happy SW by the phone in the lot. Went past there more than a few times in the past week and 2-3 different seekers found.
I'll stick to my high end girls for now. Just feels more comfortable for me.

Confirmation- Motel 6 in Enfield is a great locale at 45+tax during the week. I used it for some recent fun, using a Click 6 discount from the web site, it cost 41+ tax.

Flamingo is at the extreme southern end of the Berlin Turnpike. Okay little motel upon a hill. About a 1/2 hour from Hartford.

She is very friendly, pleasant and is in no way in a rush. She has an excellent attitude and is economical @ $$. I caught up with her around Midnight, along Whethersfield
Picked up Rene last night in the north end. Wsw says she's 20 y.o from the south end of the city. She provided a great bbbjcim for $20. Anybody else have any luck? She was the only sw on both sides of town that I noticed. Haven't noticed too much action the last few weeks.
