Hopefully her phone and the hotel security cameras will give Uncle some clues. She had a male friend when she stayed at the Red Roof on S. Saunders. I usually keep my protection in the car but it's time to keep it on me. A CC class is not very expensive and I suggest you invest in some protection if you're visiting unknown or shady places.

However with more and more events occurring like this, it makes you wonder. I seem to believe that 99% of the time drug addiction and a bad one (not that a little is good) is the main reason. Violence seems to occur for whatever reason shortly after.

I would imagine presenting a card from an attorney, especially any prominent local defense attorneys would suffice as a bluff-calling exercise in these situations as well. Maybe? Hmm. Nice one, Buki.

The whole thing is spot-on, but I'll save page space and quote only the most-major point.
When the internet came along everybody thought they were a star since they could advertise for themselves online.
'nuff said. The internet brought us the ease of CL and BP, and has also begun to destroy society. Without even touching on the reality of our politics due to the internet, which is a monumental disaster (yes, a yuuge one), there is the degradation of reality, interpersonal skills, and anything of value. Everything on the internet has been made cheap and easy, with no commitment, and all the while exposing society's basest and worst tendencies. No one gives a fuck about anyone but themselves, everything is disposable (including clients and people feelings and decency), it's all about pretending to be something you aren't and just feeding your momentary desire and getting by til the next day, with no regard for anything of true importance and certainly, no thoughtful consideration of it. Just worry about looking good on Instagram and that's all that fucking matters.
Adding to the fast rise of our very own Idiocracy, as if our politics and (at least) millennial-generation everything-is-temporary-and-disposable attitude aren't enough, you have a heroin epidemic that has ensnared some typically-thoughtful people into destructive zombies, and it's not going to get better anytime soon. And I am not trying to start a political discussion, thugs will always have guns, yes, but just like more rain increases the potential for floods, the more guns on the street, the more guns will fall into the wrong hands, and the more guns there are, the more shootings there are. This is just fact with anything that you introduce too much of. Cane toads in Australia, Kudzu. You bring too much in, it's going to get out of hand. It's just a function of saturation, and there's no getting around that no matter what your view. So you add guns to the mix of shitty attitudes, heroin addicts and selfishness, and you end up with a giant shitstorm of fuck, aka regular stories of shootings at North Raleigh (Glenwood, not even Capital) or RTP (yes, NC55 over there is pretty much RTP, it's not exactly downtown Durham), on and on.
As far as the single moms and broke students, I've asked the same myself as you may know. Truly though, the best broke student and single mom action I got was from 07-maybe 2011. These were bookends for times of high unemployment, and the unemployment rate just hit another low today, a 9 year low. There are usually a boatload of "Christmas help needed" ads on CL, and there are maybe 2 or 3 this season. The non-pro types who are desperate just aren't as desperate right now, either from being employed, or a sense that they will soon be employed, therefore aren't likely to entertain something such as "working. " Just what I posit right now.
I don't know what the answer is. I've found a couple of diamonds over the past year, but they are hard to find, you just have to keep looking and looking, and then once you find them, inevitably they will come and go, and you're liucky if you see them a few times over a couple months before their situation improves and they are gone again.

1 - I'm not engaging in any illegal activity. It's not illegal to be with an escort. It's illegal to be caught exchanging money for sex and I don't do that and neither should you.
2 - I always have the right to self defense.
3 - It only takes a moment to be at the wrong place at the wrong time, so be prepared.
I know what your trying to say but I always put my donation down for her time. If a girl starts saying well (x) amount will get you (y) service well my donation stays in my pocket and it's time to say goodbye. Also, I check an area out before I make that last call for her room number. If I feel comfortable then I keep my protection in the car and I proceed. If I don't feel comfortable after checking an area out then I don't make that final call and I move on. The only problem is what happens if something goes wrong while you're spending time with a certain lady? It's too late then, because your protection is in the car. I'm just saying that the possibility is real, especially if you travel to certain places at night and secondly if the girl is involved in heavy drugs. Don't be a victim because you was not prepared!

A homeless couple; very sad. The two suspected killers are on the security camera feed so let's hope they will be captured soon.
So now they are investigating her murder; how commendable. At other times, other valiant LEO officers visit the same hotel, pretending to be johns, and entrap / harrass / arrest such women. But today, it's time to fake concern, and neither LEO nor the reporter hypocrites are telling the real story: namely, that messed-up laws and fundamentalist indoctrination are forcing women to put themselves at such risk, working clandestinely in hotels, with their photos online and exposed to crime, as opposed to, say, in a nice, clean, protected legal bordello like in civilized countries.

Being in certain places at night (that you know are dangerous? Again, knowingly putting yourself in a dangerous situation because you have a gun can also result in YOU being charged. Your reasons for being there will be scrutinized with a microscope, and you will have no valid reason. This is where intent comes into play. Again, we were taught this in the class.
As far as road rage and people driving like lunatics. A detailed portion of the CC class was very specific about allowing yourself to get involved in a shooting resulting from a road rage incident. If you simply flip someone the bird because they cut you off and it results in some crazy bastard attacking you and you have to defend yourself, you are guilty. You lose the right to use lethal force. If you are armed, you cannot do anything while driving to respond to or provoke any type of emotional outburst. Go online and do the research if you have forgotten. That is not opinion, its a cold fact which is easily verified on the NC DOJ website.
Your two stated reasons for carrying a gun revolve around seeing escorts in dangerous motels and road rage? I am speaking from what we were taught about the law regarding the proper carrying and legal use of a concealed weapon.
Carry your weapon within the confines of the law, thast the best advice.

The law wants the person who does CC to use deadly force as a last result and not make it convenient for a person to use their weapon just because they are carrying one. Got it, however my point is when all else fails and you can't walk away and then you have to protect yourself regardless of the circumstances you are in. Yes, this might mean a day in court to defend yourself before the judge but at least you are alive to do so. Some people in this world have no regards about life so if you value your life and if all else fails at least you have the means to defend / protect yourself.
If you like budget girls at budget motels and you wish to visit them at night then it's just smart to be ready for anything. However, its even smarter when you notice shady characters in the parking lot or people roaming the hallways in hotels and you use your big head and decide to leave without seeing the girl. However a guest at the hotel where the couple was shot and killed said, "There was nothing going on Thursday night to indicate there would be any trouble. " So you just never know and better to be prepared then not prepared. Just like when the girl says, "oh, do you have a cover? Why yes, I do have a cover!

Carry your weapon within the confines of the law, thast the best advice.
I too have a CC permit and I do carry. Everything you said is absolutely the truth that pertains to the law. A CC permit allows one and only one thing. That is to carry a concealed weapon in areas that are allowed. It does not give the authority to point the weapon or threaten anyone and definitely not use deadly force. If deadly force is ever used it is now up to the person pulling the trigger to prove why they pulled the trigger to determine their guilt or innocence. Pulling that trigger is a very serious decision. That's the legal part anyone carrying a gun should understand. Now the flip side of that is if a swinging dick is going to play this game he better be prepared to take a chance of getting into some serious shit it can and does happen. An old saying is I would rather explain my actions to a judge and jury than have a relative ID my body. It's a dangerous game be smart or be prepared choose your poison.
Nobody deserves to die in like this, but lets also be real. Reading the article, the family is crying how she loved her kids and implying how wonderful a mother she was. Well she clearly had her drug addictions that meant more to her than her kids. That's obvious in the mugshot photo in the article. And she was allowing her "boyfriend" to obviously pimp her out. Funny, he does not look like a junkie. He probably got her hooked on drugs to lower her inhibitions to be able to sell herself out there. 99-1 they owed someone drug money.
As for the killers, I hope they catch them and fry them. Total disgust with these types of things. Worthless waste of human space who would just go out and kill two people.
What I can't stop thinking about is -- How did the killers get into the room? They had to have known them. I don't think they owed them drug money because if that were the case, they wouldn't have let them in the room. I think it was a robbery. I think that the two guys were friends of the boyfriend. I believe that Muneka and her Man had no clue that they had anything to worry about when they opened the door and let them in. I'm sure her boyfriend had a gun but no guns or drugs were reported being found at the crime scene. I think it's safe to assume that the killers took everything of value from them, including gun, before or after killing them. But, I don't think we will ever hear the true story and don't think the guys will get caught. There is not going to be a lot of energy from LE on solving the murder of a BP girl and her boyfriend.
