I don’t know if she is legit or not, but she posted before with these same photos and same number and name back in November. I spoke with her but never visited. At that time she was traveling with a girl who was going by the name Veronica who had a South Carolina cell phone. As you can tell from this posting, she is again having the ads placed by someone posting for another girl.

I was always interested in these photos, but never felt comfortable enough. I too would appreciate any intelligence.

Hey has anyone ever had much luck with the ladies in West Memphis. I'm not talking about the truckstops but up and down Broadway it sure looks like a streetwalkers heaven. Surely there are some but I haven't seen them yet.

A bit of a new monger roaming around Memphis so still a bit untested in this area. Passing through here on 2 weeks R and R leave though so some intelligence on the area would be great though being a bit of a new face I won't expect too much. I believe that these providers feel that potential clients are so “horned-up”(or don’t pay close enough attention) that they won’t care when they get to the door and a flabby, 5-6, 170-lb girl answers instead of the blonde, 5-4, 100-lb “model-type” they saw in the internet picture. This is, for the most part ridiculous. Most clients pick a girl based on how she looks in her “picture(s)”.

Of course I’m exaggerating a bit, but yes, it does happen. Before the advent of the internet, I found that some agencies used this practice (this was [i]not[/i] in Memphis by the way). They would describe a girl and then send out another that looked completely different. Once in a while they would send out a “replacement” that was really hot. I can recall one time when I had this situation happen, but I got along so well with the “replacement”, that she gave me her number and we had several sessions (outside of the agency) at a greatly reduced price. But the opposite is more prevalent: someone at a much lower quality than what was described. In these cases, it would mean walking away and crossing that agency off the list of potential future providers.

With the proliferation of the internet and such web sites as Backpage, all of the “mystery” is removed as to what the girl is “supposed” to look like. Sometimes this may be difficult if no clear facial face shot is provided, as in your specific case. But again, when a provider presents herself as someone she is not, then it’s probably best to just walk away.

Some of you may remember a couple of years back when someone stole pics of a provider from Washington D.C. posted locally here on CL. This provider was so pissed off that she threatened to make a trip here, set up a call with the provider, and then have her “boyfriend” take care things.

I had one fairly well-known Memphis provider explain to me once why she employed the use of fake pics (they did look a lot like her though). She said that she had a particularly bad run with LE and that they were picking on her any time they had a chance. She changed her name for the ads, and then used a similar-looking picture to throw off LE. In any event, she stole someone’s pic somewhere, and it’s still deceptive.

Unfortunately, I think that scenario was an exception rather the rule. In most cases, the guilty provider is in another city and probably never thinks she will never get caught, especially if there is some resemblance between the “stolen” pics and the actual girl.

Star, it may be best for you to take the precautions that you did, and take it as a compliment that the pics were hot enough for someone else to want to use them. They [i]are[/i] hot pictures, by the way.

You fellows remember Lisa with red hair worked in Midtown , National and some off highland and park. You would see her pushing baby in stroller last few years. This is one of the things that make me the angriest about the entire business. I wish there was some way to discover whether girls posting here are stealing photos from other markets for bait and switch. If anyone has any clues or hints on how to tell, I am sure a lot of us would appreciate them. I have tried in the past to find the photos in other cities if they “feel” fake, but only once have I actually found them (a girl posting as Ava here this past fall). The photo question really keeps me, and I am sure others, from making some calls we would like to make. Right now, there are two listings on BP in Memphis that I am interested in, but will likely not call because I just have the feeling they are fake. Now, I know the best thing for me and others to do is to stay with what we know. That is the wise choice, but every now and then the thing that makes this hobby so much fun is the variety we have to select from.

As for those bait and switch girls. It of course does no good to ask if the photos are real. What girl is going to say yes? I have never personally experienced an ad featuring a 5’7” blond spinner and found a brunette BBW at the door, or visa versa. Usually the fake photos are a fair representation of the kind of girl who will come to the door. It is more a matter of scale. A 9 photo will usually have a 6 to 8 girl at the door. At least once an 8 photo I saw actually had a 10 provider waiting. And, I have walked away on several occasions when girl and photo did not match. I have also stayed for a dream, accepting that for the donation the girl would have still generated a call with their real photo. Shame on me. However, in most cases (which is why I am cured of this weakness and now will not stay for a switch); the service provided was not good. I find girls who do not post their own photos are also more likely to be clock watchers, up-sellers and less than true GFE. A girl who won’t poster her own photos (even if the face is blurred) generally has all kinds of other faults.

The best providers know that regular hobbyists respect their profession and expect professional behavior (as they should expect from us). Part of that respect is knowing that a real professional provider will be the same girl on the internet as they are in the flesh.
