At least not until that's how much people are willing to routinely pay and start doing so. If we're not willing to pay increased prices then it won't happen, and if folks stay away from providers AMPs where upselling occurs then maybe they'll get the message. Maybe, to start, turning down someone at a spa and mentioning to the mamasan that it's because of reports she's upselling will get someone's attention.

BTW, that was a great first review and a very good way to get started in this forum. It's nice to see a newcomer that wants to actually participate rather than just asking redundant questions and not contributing anything.

I have been absorbing the info NMS and Lily are apparently where I want to go for non-full service, so I tried both:

I went to NMS and found the new upstairs location. Unfortunately, the masseuse I got was not at all attractive, nor were any of the others I saw when I was there. Mine was probably 30's but exceedingly plain and a bit dumpy. Sorry I did not get her name. Maybe it was a bad time. About 4 PM on the weekend. Maybe I should have asked for a lineup, but I am a newbie and I did not have the balls.

I did get a table shower, which briefly touched on the sensitive areas to ensure their hygiene. She certainly gave it a shot at a therapeutic massage, but definitely not to be compared to a CMT. I did leave less tense, but not so much happy. As for roaming, I was not even tempted to try OTC.

So I went to Lilly. On another day.

They were busy, since it was Saturday nite 2AM. I asked for and waited for Sunny, given my last experience and the recommendations here. She is very nice and in shape, but easily 40s and quite possibly 50s. She did not strike me as very attractive, either, but I may be spoiled by time in Asia, where the massage experience is quite different.

The table shower was ok. Thorough and with appropriate attention to the bits. The massage was pretty good, almost professional in quality. The ending was nice as well, but I think she was used to having to overcome "whiskey dick", given the hour, and kind of rushed it, which does not leave me as satisfied. Maybe my luck would be better another time and as she gets to know me.

In any case, this is not really what I am looking for and I am looking for advice on what to try next. I would really prefer an attractive young girl, with a crappy massage and a long hand job. Maybe this is not possible, or maybe the places with attractive ladies are all full service only and they will be grumpy if you do not want to get and pay for full service. Maybe my standards are too high, but there are some ladies at Desire and Fantasy that would do it for me. Maybe I will burn some extra cash to see if I can make that work. Seems like YMMV per girl and they will likely milk me for as much as possible before getting to that point.

On the subject of Strip Clubs. I looked around and will write a full report in that topic later, but here is my brief impression of two. (And I will remove it from here if it is inappropriate.) At Desire, the waitresses, especially the asian one, seem much more attractive than all but one or two of the strippers. Not to be picky, but finding a nice ass in there is a challenge. At Club Fantasy, there are several very attractive strippers with nice bodies, including asses, but the others look like they have had some sort of surgery or injection to make them enormous. Maybe it is me and I simply do not appreciate all that "cushion for the pushin". I confess to being more of a tit man.

It will provide you with important information to help make your choice and visits the best experience for you. It makes it easier to look like you ve been there before. Also the holder of cash is always king until the power is relinquished. Don't relinquish your power too early. This certainly is an acquired skill but isn't impossible.

The gals / mamasans can smell a "newbie" easily if you are unprepared. You can easily say good bye to more than needs to be spent. A newbie venturing into a FS place could easily get thrown into sticker shock or flustered by a "negotiator" the one who is holding the cash has control. Know the "script" to a visit and know "your parts / lines".

Many seasoned hobbyists here have held ground not to overspend or upsell. Rarely one walks out after just paying house fee due to un reasonable upsell and believe me you will see the report here and the trends too.

Also one has to be respectful to known "standards" and you wish that goes for the "house" too. No tip is no $ for the lady and less chance for you being a repeat customer.

Every now and then we read about "push back" from the AMP's on higher tipping. Wonder if recent landscape changes are impacting?

It would be an interesting question to see if ABC has benefited most from OS departure from local scene recently and along with increasing 1021 dissatisfaction being posted? And if the trend of "pushback" expecting higher $ than present standards in area.

Overall I agree that prices are not going up but are stable. I have been mongeirng for sometime and the 60/140 split at Asian Spas in Providence has been the same for ever. You will run into some girls that want more and some that may take a little less if you cry poor-its been a bad week at work etc. I think you can do better with some of the independants that advertise on BP but as we all know it is a crap shoot and I like the flexibility of being able to show up at a spa without an appt when youhave free time. While my last review of ABC was less than stellar-the quality of the girls, massage and service are pretty consistent at most FS spas in RI as well as the other spas tha offer less services but get the job done. Basically you know what you are getting and how much it wil cost. I just wish there were some American staffed spas similar to the Asian spas as you don't alway feel going the Asian route as variety is one of the reasons I play the game.

As an aside-I usually frequent NMS and Lily's for massage and HJ service, are there any places that offer better than these for those services? Younger prettier girls or at these the 2 best for this type of session?

With the demise of OS, the poor service and quality of 1021 and the ever growing demand of Mass Mongers heading south a few Spa's have taken notice for sure. And they will push the limit to see what they can get away with! Be prepared for the higher costs, lower level service and shorted time to be more frequent. Its a matter of economics and these Spa owners, Managers and Girls smell blood in the water. A newbie will get eaten alive in this environment if they don't prepare themselves ahead of time!

I ALWAYS give the girl the full amount of everything I plan to spend right at the beginning! I just like to get all that out of the way and not be interupted by any negotiating or un needed waits. I have yet to have any girl question or try and renegotiate after I do it that way!

I've been reading this board for a few weeks now and I used to post a few times on the other board (which I think did a much better job than this one in terms of setting up threads). I don't know how the rest of you all got into this, but when I was about 23 in the mid 90s, I worked a lot and was in need of a massage. I lived in North Jersey at the time and had been apartment hunting, so I was looking in the New Jersey Star Ledger for apartments in the real estate section of the classifieds for days. It just so happens that the real estate is right next to the personal and services sections. I would always see these ads posted for massage, so I figured I really needed one and I would go. I had absolutely no idea about HE, let alone FS and anything else. I go to this place (I'm a white guy, good looking, really fit) and I just figure this is a massage. For the next four years, I would check out the Star-Ledger or Daily Record for ads for massage. I was driving to Union, Totowa, Plainfield, Whiteside, all of these places in North and Central Jersey. Very rarely did I get a legit provider. All of it was TOFTT, because I was the only member of the "team"!

I move back to Mass about 12 years ago and discover there's a scene here too, but much, much different. All of the chicks or "spinners" here are Asian, or at least most of them. This wasn't the case in Jersey. Almost all were American and maybe more than half were white. Plus, they were usually hot and with pretty nice bodies and features. MA and RI, not so much. I think we all do this for different reasons. I personally like the unknown if the chick is going to be hot or not or just how far she'll let me go or even if I can extend it beyond the spa. I personally don't even care much about the massage. I just wanted to give my 2 cents, I was heading to Providence debating what spa I wanted to go to, I was going to give DT another try, I hadn't seen many Dt reviews since I went, and wasn't sure if they had fixed there Ts problem. Then I figured I was going to 1021, but something changed my mind and decided and said try ABC.

Well I had forgot about the traffic and how much far out it was from 1021, well I got there. If you remember a time ago I posted that I could not find it, well I did, and wanted to kick myself in the ass. When I tried to find it the first I was in the BK across the street and couldn't see the sign, but that's the past.

I drove in the parking lot and there were 2 fellow mongers there this was about 3:30 ish, I walk to the door (I don't know why some of you guys have the walk of shame mentality) the door is no more than 15 feet and the traffic passes way to fast for anyone to give a crap. Well I rang the bell and tried to open the door when Mamasan open the door looked me like who the f are you, asked if I had been there before, which of course I said yes, she says when, I just say long time ago. I was actually disappointed with the recent sequence of events. As 1021 took a bit of a quality dive (once my fav) , I ventured to ABC and very fortunately met and repeated with Suzy and Mimi. Phenomenal! I really felt that ABC was well "coached" in terms of the way the experience unfolded. Now with the recent change in QoS at 1021 and the closure of OS, together with the earlier stellar reports of ABC, we have a natural progression of events with ABC. Reports of increase fees and not-so stellar reports. In the business world, it is easy to focus on Quality of Service when you are trying to build a customer base, but gets harder when you get there. For the AMP industry, as the so-called market saturates with a flood of customers, so don't attitudes and value.

Don't mean to preach, just wanted to share an observation.

Agree that with the increased customer traffic-comes a hit on the quality of service provided. Once they have built a client base and then additional mongers show up due to the positive reviews-they turn into a churn and burn place that sacrifices quality to get more people in and out. Also the girls are less apt to click with you and enjoy themsleves if they have to go through multiple sessions in one day-over and over. I always wondered how many sessions a typical AMP girl does in a given day. I alwas try to hit the AMP early in the a. M. In hopes I am the first customer of the day. Not that I mind sloppy seconds to the fine gentlemen on this board, I just feel the girl may be more into it if it her first encounter of the day.

I was somewhat disappointed with ABC the other day-not bad-just not as good as I had expected. Planning on going to Far East this weekend-any reccs. On girls there? Haven't been there in months and I am not sure what the rotation look likes.

The baton has been passed from Mika to Sophia and she is at the helm again. Received a call from her and we had a brief conversation about the state of affairs in Providence. I made a trip to ABC today but the decision was tough, with mixed reports on all the different spas I wanted to make the best choice and I only get to go every couple of months so needless to say I was excited. It almost feels like a cliche to post this after reading all of the other first timers posting their reviews too, but here goes. After hearing that Mika was gone and Sophia was back I decided to stop in this morning to say hello to Sophia and also see if any of the new girls are worthy of the ATF award. On the way out mamasan walks me out while on the phone and gestures to me asking how was Anna. I gave a thumbs up. I don't know why. I should have given her the so-so hand wave.

Did a weekday visit to 1021 and chatted with Sophia a bit. I enjoy her outgoing style and customer-friendly attitude, she makes me feel like a valued guest each and every time.

I drew Sunny and she gave me one of the all-time best massage sessions ever. She is forceful and uses thumb and palm technique, but in general I like strong massage. Sunny showed me 2-3 new stretches & pressure techniques that I never, ever had had done to me before. I had to reign her in a couple of times as she is forceful, but my posture is going to be bettter for a week I think.

After a break for more personal attention she came back with even more massage. She did great lotion work on some sensitive areas and stretched my back and chopped my thighs in a very positive manner.

I like massage big time and consider it a treat when I luck out with someone skilled. Sunny was definitely skilled and willing to tend to my needs.

Very pleasant, lots of other good stuff, long on time.

Also, I enjoy talking with Sophia too.
