This is a seriously poor idea. If anything bad happens in that room (fight, OD, robbing a guy,) your name gets dragged in as a potential accomplice. The next day he got a call from the hotel manager saying the room had been stripped bare. She / they took everything not nailed down including an expensive TV. He was on the hook for the full amount.
