Don't know what massage place, but older Asian female (born 1941) booked into Maricopa County Jail on 5/25/12 on 2 counts of Illegal Control of Enterprise, Money laundering, pandering and prostitution.

I assume its an Asian parlor in Phoenix.

Her LMT license approved in Phoenix in 2004 per City records.

I looked at her photo. I do not recognize her. It is an election year so I would expect a lot more of this stuff this year. Be very careful. In fact, I would almost advise to stick with providers that you have seen in the past so you know they are not LE just for this year until the election is over. Joe Arpaio wants to get his name in the newspaper and personally I do not want my name to be in the same article this his name is in.

I personally think that sometime someone needs to get a petition drive organized to put the decriminalization of prostitution on the ballot as a proposition. Make it allow regulated prostitution only in designated places (not the streets). Arizona is known to have a libertarian streak to it so I think it would do well here. I think even a lot of the general public is tired of spending a lot of taxpayer money arresting people for doing an act between two legally consenting adults.

But Phoenix PD (and some other cities) PD is getting very good and loves the spin on saving children and trafficking.

In the Temple case it was an 18 month undercover operation including the female cop making friends with everyone (Like the guide in the DD case) and even went through training to be a Temple worker. The police did a detailed 200+ police report showing great deal of under cover work, produced 2000 pages of discovery and now the Court if full of 39 wonderful folks facing felony and prison terms. Same with recent Friction Massage bust, the 3 massage places against 23 case from 2010 still tied up in the Courts etc. No children or trafficking issues but that is always there excuse.

A petition drive needs lots of money and lots of people to come out and support. Be on radio talk shows, talk at meetings etc and most supporters are more in the closet type like gays were until more recently. It took gays 30+ years to get law changed after the Stonewall riots to get their rights.

Remember the law is Arizona so much larger petition drive needed unless go the smart SWOP way in Berkeley. If they had not insisted on the right of street hookers to be a public nuisance it was otherwise very good and would probably have passed. It banned Berkeley from spending money / time enforcing the prostitution laws within Berkeley. I would today ban any enforcement of in private consenting adults making outcall always legal (as in almost all the world) and incall to commercial areas with some restrictions (not more than x per square mile or something).

But this would be in Phoenix almost impossible to get passed without a huge amount spent on public education. It would be attacked in every Church etc and would bring out the "save the children" zealots in mass. These groups get lots of funding with their children fantasies when out of maybe 1000 arrests maybe 5 have anything to do with under age 18 or pimps. It is also called "kidnapping" for which we already have a law against.
