Want to say first I have spent a lot of time on the LA tracks. They not as good now with Covid in some ways but still pretty good in other ways. I still like them.

Been going to TJ for a long time. Did not even know about the Zona the first 15 years of going to TJ / Rosarito / Ensanada. I have been hustled and targeted everywhere I went in the area. Sometimes I deserved it and sometimes I was just a mark. They all just trying to make money. In 15 years of going to the Zona I learned two things.

1. I have NEVER been targeted in the Zona. I think the Organized Whatever (not sure if Cartel) protects the customers in the Zona as twice I been marked just OUTSIDE the Zona while walking around. NEVER INSIDE the Zona in close to 15 years. They key I found is to take a cab to // from the border. Do not walk outside the Zona.

2. The TJ hustle in general has been cleaned up greatly. With that said never know when it will come back.

Over the years I have either directly been the target or have been in a group of people targeted by the TJ Hustle probably close to 20 times. Never once has it happened in the Zona and I have spent a lot of time there the last few years.
