Perhaps I went on a bad night but even when I went downtown with a buddy, I was thinking I'd see a bunch of hotties- NOT! I find more Latina hotties in south florida than I did in CR. Most of them really need to lose some weight. I even went to some of the smaller establishments and pretty much the same. All the stuff I read online before I went was so overly inflated- these guys were probably drunk out of their minds! Peradventure, Brazil or Columbia might offer a different experience but CR, not so much! Just my take!

You are right unfortunately. I went down there 20 years ago and it was heaven. Nothing but ticas. Then about 10 years ago it so so popular all the poorer countries invaded.
Hard times on Beatle bar in Jacko Beach. Heard they shut down. Used to be fun deep sea fishing with naked women.

Just my take![/QUOTE]My two cents- I have been to Costa Rica, stayed in San Jose and also went to Jaco Beach, when the Beatles Bar was the place to go. In San Jose, there are half a dozen bar / hotels who cater to mongers; many of the girls will want $100 but will settle for less, these bars that cater to this crowd will have so many women, you will be outnumbered. The women are Ticas (Costa Rican), Nicas (Nicaraguan), Colombian and Panamanian and some Dominicans (usually black). The hotel may or may not charge you to bring a girl to your room, even for an hour or so. The streets at night are not safe, especially if you are by yourself and have been drinking. You are safe in numbers or in taxis.
I recommend the massage parlors, you get a choice of several girls, cost is much less, $40 with a $20 tip is typical for FS. I don't want a stranger in my hotel room, but lots of guys like to drink at a bar and go upstairs with a girl; so I would do the massage parlor which are simply bordellos, you would never get just HR. The strip clubs are often rip-offs and over priced, I would never go in one their, if they get a hold of your credit card, you will be over charged, possibly by hundreds of dollars.
