Mandate a drink / food minimum and then the girls are just "staff". You're prob right it wouldn't cover the bills but I think a larger portion of their cash actually comes from the fees the girls pay to dance. It's a bit astronomical from what I've been told. Part of me tho also doesn't want to see it happen because I feel like these girls would be run even more ragged of their own volition for money. Plus where would you take them since the back would be closed.

Things are looking much more Favorable for us to reopen in faze 3 ! The new state mandates and guidelines are much more relaxed then they originally were talking about. Which is positive news for everyone in the bar / restaurant business!

With the hindsight of history we know in August nothing happened. Phase 3 in CT has not even been announced let alone implemented:

I looked at the Phase 3 Guidelines for NY and let me just say I think Stripclubs would not fare well.

I don't want to be the downer of this conversation but I try to be realistic. I do think that right after the Elections in Nov everything will open up. No matter who wins the Dems and their lackey Governors will have no reason to further damage the economy.

In most clubs they feed the jukebox and tip the bartenders, bouncers, and DJ. Add in transportation and they start at about a minus 100. There are also significant fines for being late, not being on stage / delaying the music, causing drama and cumulatively not showing up. So yes, the Club can make a chunk of change off the girls but it will need lots of them to come in. Conversely, the girls need to make a few hundred or they won't bother working. How will they make that much just being 'staff'?

What you described is what a few strip clubs have already tried and for one reason or another not continued. Add in the Lamont's proclamation that he would shut down any bar "masquerading as a restaurant" and it doesn't look good.

The exact same market tha a month ago would not let me enter without a mask. It was pouring rain at that time and I forgot the Mask in my car. There was nobody in the store. I just wanted to grab something from the cooler and go quick. But nope. They would not let me enter. Today, there were 3 people sitting at the coffee counter, standard 12 inches apart. No masks. Just sitting there gabbing away. I asked if the mask rule was still in effect. They said yes. I asked about the maskless people? They said it was ok because they were eating. WTF? They were not eating. Maybe waiting for there food. But they only serve muffins. Muffins BTW that are only already on the counter. Not only that, but everyone entering the store has to walk right by those people only a couple feet away. And this is not one of those rebellious places. It's more of a liberal leaning cdc guidelines kind of place. Just sayin. If they can blatantly do something like this. A creative alcoholic serving premise may be able to find a loophole and give it a try. Enjoy O.

Last night I visited and most of the things I read about the crappy hot dog, sitting apart, and the mask. The thing that upset me the most is that that short bartender would come trying to push a drink every 20 minutes. All the signs say 3 drink minimum but she said you had to keep getting new ones or you had to leave.

For those who are wondering. Pleasant moments is currently open. Have not been there myself. But was out having a few drinks with one of the dancers at a place that we both enjoy. Just shooting the shit, having a good time. She gave me the basic run down. Food service set up. I think it's free. But not sure. Standard cover charge at door. Drinks available. No dancers on stage. Girls working the crowd in standard street clothes. Back rooms open. Basically all I have to report. Honestly, have not been paying attention to when these places are opening. And there has not been much scuttle but when I have talked with the girls. But the winds seem to be changing direction. Enjoy O.
