Wouldn't turning off your VPN, accessing a site such as STG then turning back on permit at least your internet provider know you accessed STG then "disappeared"?

Being a displaced Michigander I sometimes enjoy reliving the escapades of my youth (however vicariously). You are totally correct.

Only turn of your VPN, if you want to see that particular thing, badly enough to forgo your online privacy for a short bit.

The IP would know what you accessed while VPN was off.

As well as stg themselves, would know where you are.

That I suspect is really why they do it- locking out untraceable users, with the excuse of "Eliminating scammers."

Use your VPN everywhere you surf, that won't lock you out.
