I personally don't remotely believe those stories, but from these articles, I can see why some of these women think that such relationships exist.

They don't want to meet up, might even be other dudes with fake profiles looking for cash, they will be the first to get offended and report you.

She has some body issues due to I want to say an immune disorder which causes spots to appear on her skin at times. She just kept telling me all this stuff and honestly I didn't want to meet her anymore I thought I'd break her if I did. She is nice however and talkative I chatted for a few weeks.

I don't even bother contacting an SB that has platonic in their profile. It's not worth the effort to find out if they are or aren't given the number of SB's that really understand why they are there.
