Other then real legitimate emergencies.

Maybe some of the providers are unfortunately following the practices of the dreaded airline industry and double booking as a way of covering their asses.

Some providers may just have terrible time management skills as I left a review about the provider Luscious Leslie that was famous for this mentioned in her e. Com. Reviews. She could never keep her appt times and when clients called they just got voice. A day latter she did call back and if I had stronger will power I should have said no thanks, but the little head took over.

Look it's a 2 way street the providers hate it when clients pull a No-Show and we sure as hell hate it as well even if we didn't lose any money. All she needs to do is just cancel if the appt is not possible and no reason necessary. Just so I don't get left in limbo the rest of the day.

If her phone is going straight to voicemail, that means it's turned off and so that would lead me to think she's with another date but it's all speculation and also not confined to providers.

One of my closest friends is a girl who while I love her to death and simply as a friend, she's about as reliable as your horoscope and I couldn't tell you how many times she's made plans with me, never showed up and then had profuse apologies.

Another close friend who also cuts my hair and has for over 20 years routinely keeps me waiting, does the same with others and then complains that her business is down.

Well, I wonder why?

That we are longtime friends and related by marriage is the only reason I don't go somewhere else.

I've also had countless instances of someone apply for a job, come in for an interview, in some cases multiple interviews, be offered a job and then never show up for the job.

One guy came in for an interview with me, back for one with my boss, a third time to talk to the big boss, big boss offered him a job, he came back a fourth time to thank me for helping him and then never showed up for the job.

There have also been countless times that I've been doing business with someone and it's like they're doing me a favor.

In short, no I don't really have any ideas as to why but I know it has to be frustrating for you guys who have significant others and so only finite play time to start with and then end up being stood up but it's not just providers who are unreliable or who one would think would be doing a better job of taking care of business.
