On the news tonight they showed a clip of mayor elect Mike Duggan speaking in front of a large sheet with "what I love about Detroit" as the heading. It was full of handwritten messages from people like a high school yearbook. Just over Duggans shoulder was a message that said "Detroit has the hottest back page girls". LOL I had to rewind and double check.

DPD will get the SW's to not be within a few blocks of the bus stop when schoolkids are going to or coming from school and that will be it. In fact, when school was letting out one day last week, I noticed Fatima a block or 2 north of Dakota Inn. They probably filmed it and she took the advice and moved away.
And if DPD is going to target and shut down every area where kids are waiting for buses, they're going to need to be calling cops back from layoffs. JR and 6 isn't the only place where that happens. And FWIW, the presence of the shopping center at 8 and Woodward hasn't closed down the are yet. Mongers shouldn't panic.
