No. In reality. Like the oil companies. You raising your rates is nothing but opportunistic. Maybe demand will stay constant. Or. If you have studied your Econ. Another alternative will arise (mind the pun) for a lower cost and lessen your demand.
Your argument is asinine anyway. Nobody gets to go in and make those statements to the gas station or grocery store. But that does not mean that we get to jack up our salaries/hourly pay/prices we are selling homes/cars for/etc at our whim to make up for increased costs.

The good providers that have been giving 110% before this slow down happened are still around, but most of the rub &tugs for $2 are offering almost anything today to get you in the door. Check some the recent post ,on most sites ,and you will see a expanded menu , lots of specials offered, even some crazy dress up and hang from ceiling stuff. So, with that said, when you find a good one , stick with her, treat her right** don't be cheap** ( she also has bills to pay) and she will there, willing to put out , 110%

My post was just my 2 cents, looking at reality, not a whine or whimper, the economy is bad and will get worse from what treasury said today, times are tough, and a$$ and gas, and the electric bill will cost the most, not to mention you have uncle leo watching closer on CL, doesnt want anyone to have any fun at all.

Guys don't always be discouraged...sometimes ladies are simply trying to be discreet and safe (especially with someone saying they are new to the game as LE likes to sometimes say this to get you to say more).
