Not sure. I don't see her at the Venus :). I think she works Friday nights. You can probably call the place and ask.

Looking for former Alpha ladies - m4ww

Date: 2006-06-27, 12:51AM EDT
Greetings, I am looking to rekindle some past relationships, and spend some money in the process. If you worked at Alpha in Hartford (or know someone who did) I would love to get in touch with you. Please e-mail me with your Alpha name.

The same message is also in the Hartford CL.
A reunion? WTF? Man, sounds like f'n trouble. I know two of you ladies still occassionally read this board. Be careful.
Can anyone recommend a motel that has short stay option ( 3-4 hrs ) that is close to Bradley Airport?
Can anyone tell me if there are any motels in the area of Bradley Airport that offer short stay rates like the places on the Berlin Turnpike?
Near Bradley? Short stay...not likely in the least formally. As you know, short stays are motels vs hotels. I am 99% sure near Bradley is all hotels or extended suites.
If you can get to Enfield, I think there is a Red Roof there. You might be able to get a coupon and get the room there for the day for $40 + tax. Last time I used the Super 8 (windsor locks?), it cost about $50. That was a year ago though, maybe two.
Not many cheap options out there.
Good luck.
There's a Day's Inn on Rt 75, just north of the McDonald's. It's not a short stay place, but it's the cheapest on that strip. I think I paid 60 or 70 there a couple times.

Not sure what your time frame is, but I find Motel 6 in Enfield a great place. Mon - Thurs is less than $50 (tax included) and check out is the next morning just in case you feel like an incall and then get lucky at MG or elsewhere, not that this has ever happened to me! Check out is nil..... I even left with the key by accident. Still less than 17 minutes to the airport or rental car return! Coupon book is also great, but of course does not include Motel 6 hotels!
Motel 6 of Jennings Rd is a bit more expensive, but convenient to Hartford.

There's also a Motel 6 next to Papa Gino's in Windsor Locks, right across from the airport. There are no "Berlin Tpke" type motels on Rte. 75, just a Doubletree, Homewood Suites, Days Inn, and the big new hotel right next to Dale Drug over the line in Windsor.
So, here's the real reason that Alpha was closed after all those years. Had nothing to do with making the quality of the neighborhood any better, because it's still a drug/gang infested shithole.

Yeah -- I heard about that on the radio this morning.
Wasn't the Alpha open and operating for, like, 20 years? I'm sure Hartford PD knew about the place for 19.5 of them. You know they let the place be until they were a) sure that the business had reached some sort of financial "critical mass" and b) they figured out how to grab the cash.
If both of those two scenarios hadn't occurred to this day, the place would still be open. It's never about prostitution, or cleaning up neighborhoods or anything like that... it's always about extracting the almighty $ from the businesses be it via taxes or otherwise.
When you see things in this light, doesn't it become clear that Big Brother is nothing more than an oversized pimp?
JMG...is there any other way to see the gov't after this? See all the fanfair over this check? Not a hint of that fanfair when they busted they place, or finally made known about busting the place. It mattered little to them. THey sought the payday.
Truth is, they were getting a payday...for 19.5 years I bet. When the owner got greedy, the strings got pulled. Thats the ONLY reason the Feds got involved. Hartford PD has been eating from the Alpha chuckwagon for a long damn time.
I'm sure part of the arrangment with the feds would be that the Hartford PD would get a funnel keg of money. The feds, I'm sure, got their cut. (supposition).
BTW...Notice the size of the check? Thats enough to pay for "part" of SALARY of a SINGLE officer in the South End.
Thats what they call...putting the money back into the community.
And they wonder why relations with the community is so viscious right now?
Bastards...they killed Kenny!
If it's money they want they should legalize brothels, tax them and use the money to fight real crime.

If that were the case, Then Connecticut would become the next micro-sized Las Vegas, complete with casinos and lottery..
Wait a second, Aren't the two already in play?
It may be a idea of greed, but it still stinks to all high heaven, that some 'goody-goody moral majority' ignoramous
decided they wanted to make a name for themself, and decide to take action, and close down a 'infested hole of sin
and degradation.' (If that's what they want, they should close-down the STATE GOVERNMENT.)
It may also, be that all this time, all the money wasted on effort to find a reason to close the place down,
they found NOTHING, and had to come up with a suitable reason for all the wasted time, before
someone actually found out, it was all for nothing, except to make someone look good to the public.
Drugs & Violence are nothing new in Hartford. It's been getting steadily worse and worse over the past few decades.
Actually, Ironic, Shootings have grown more than double, since they closed Alphas. You see a connection like I do?
(the kids aren't getting laid as much as they used to. They're getting cranky, frustraited, they turn to shooting!)
Okay, that WAS a long shot. :?

Hmmm, let's see, the neighborhood has sex, drugs, shootings, murder, robberies, gangs, violence, and other crimes getting worse over time...
Yet neighbors were complaining about sex to the police. Yeah, right, that's the ticket....
