How Providers Are Treated
Over in the USA thread, one monger questioned how another monger treated a particular provider. I have no idea what happened in that case, but I can tell you that a few different providers, all with good reviews, have told me in recent months there are issues with how some guys are treating them.
One provider had a stalker. Another said a guy went off on her because she wouldn't perform a certain act, even though she had told him this on the front end. Few providers would do the acronym in question, so I don't know why this guy was surprised the answer was no. This provider and another both basically said they're having issues with guys showing up with big chips on their shoulders and making the encounter unpleasant for them.
I don't know who the offending mongers are, so they could very well be non-USA members. I also don't know whether this is truly happening more or if I'm just hearing about it more. In any case, we risk losing the quality providers sooner than we might otherwise because they don't want to put up with this kind of stuff.
My mind is much filthier than the scene though hehehe.
I do take it as a compliment however this scene is only an underestimation of the filth that runs through my head on a daily basis. Hehehe.

My report was NOT to denigrate hookers, or women who do this because they are addicts (which is way more than the 50% you anecdotally describe).
Point 1. There are girls who do this as a business. Some are shady and lie all the time, but still are running a business. Some are legit and in most ways very normal people that just happen to be sex workers (BizWomen). THEN there are girls who do this to feed one nasty habit or another. They are addicts and they do this for drug money (DrugAddicts).
There are guys who do this with measured control. They have reasons, but they are just here for casual fun (BizMonger). THEN there are guys who do this because they have an itch. An itch for new sexual experiences, a type of girl, a very specific girl, or even for something dangerous and exiting (HookerAddicts).
While it is easy for us mongers to denigrate and look down on "those addicts", most men who do this also act like addicts and do very dumb and unsafe things to get our fix as well. And I believe there are more DrugAddicts and HookerAddicts than BizWomen / BizMongers by a larger margin.
Point 2. When people talk about Amon and his disgusting activities, he's done them with more than one girl. It isn't hard for him to get what he wants. So for 1 Amon, you have dozens of equally nasty hookers. A guy can post a vid of Amon crawling out of a toilet. But imagine 30 videos this year of the girls who've crawled out after him. In case people forget, drug addicts have done all kinds of really nasty things just to get money for the drugs.
