Waaay back when I was a young buck, (nearly 20 years now) When I was just figuring this stuff out, I found myself in a similar situation. Youngish and naive, I even tried to "save" her.
Spent way too much time, money, effort, and in the end she was still consumed by her demons. She then disappeared, and I have no clue whatever happened to her. Learned my lesson young. Never again.
My advice to you: Don't get too attached. It never ends well.
