It will be interesting to see what the outcome of these loitering cases. My guess is that these are weak cases. & vice went overboard. LE cannot give arrest you on a loitering charge for merely pulling over for a SW. It sounds as though vice out trying to make themselves look good. Part of the problem is that the loitering law is a catchall law that gives LE interpret almost anything they want to be loitering. One good way to protect yourself is to simply offer a SW a ride when you pull over for her. There is case law that allows you to do so. One good way fight a loitering or prostitution charge is hire a aggressive attorney and ask for a trial at when you plead guilty. There is a very good chance the city attorney will drop the case especially if this your first offense. One thing to remember is that city attorney's do not to waste the taxpayers money on a minor prostitution case. A prosecutor in the bay area actually talked about what a weak law loitering law is. I am hoping that the guys that were busted fight this.

Last night about 9. 30 pm I was driving down Holt and Weber St. When I saw about 6 hoes from fat and super skinny all huddle together like the good old days. Wearing scampy clothing and obviously advertising for work. I don't think LE would be that bold. I was not looking for action so I didn't have time to scope out the scene. I just couldn't believe they were out there without fear of the recent roundups.
